Sealed and Occasionally Open Episode
Hello.
The Tokyo souvenir my daughter bought for me was too cute,
so I wanted to take a photo of the sealed masking tape and peanuts for the first time in 9 years.
Together with Chiba's peanut manju and peanut monaka.
The texture and size of this monaka skin are really cute.
The filling is peanut paste, with a chunky texture that is delicious!
But just to take this photo, I issued a "no eating until the photo is taken" order to my family ^^
When surrounded by real peanuts, it really feels like the boss w
The "Sealed and Occasionally Open" masking tape is almost sold out but is available on minne and Creema!

Thank you for your continued support next year as well!
Long time no see.
Before I knew it, it's New Year's Eve 2024.
Thank you very much for all your support throughout this year!
I'm sorry I couldn't resume orders in December this year.
Fortunately, I received some inquiries,
but I was overwhelmed with my company job and making dried fruits,
and I couldn't find a good amount of time.
Except for custom masking tape orders, I continue to sell on minne and Creema,
so please feel free to take a look if you like.
The photo above is an old medicine box.
It came to our home by chance.
I think it is from around the early Showa period.
The outside of the wooden box and the bottom of the drawer were completely covered with something like wrapping paper.
I carefully peeled off the paper, repaired the board that was coming off,
polished it with gel stain, and finished it with beeswax.
The unique charm of antique tools and the cute stickers. It feels nice.
Inside the drawer, there was a paper with the placement drug price and quantity table.
There I found the characters "熊胆円". I wonder if this means "bear gallbladder".
"熊の胆" is read as "kuma no i",
When I was little, whenever I had a stomachache or diarrhea,
it was always "bear gallbladder", the most familiar medicine. It was a very bitter but effective medicine.
The black hard surface was a sticky lump, and my mother would break it into small pieces and give it to me.
When I grew up, I was shocked to learn that "kuma no i" is a crude drug made by drying a bear's gallbladder, lol.
There were other interesting medicine names too. Shitoharashiburibara medicine, Jitsubosan, Sekidome new medicine Koderon, a step advanced new medicine Kyoryoku Sokko, cooperative bactericidal hemostatic medicine Akachin, comprehensive cold medicine Kaze Pitari capsule...
I am thinking of using this wooden box to store masking tape or for event booths.
I will report here again on what kind of activities I can do next year.
Thank you for your continued support next year as well!
First time trying Terikora!
Do you know "Tericolla"??
Of course, I didn't know it.
It seems to be an abbreviation for "Mystery Collage."
You receive materials without knowing what's inside,
and you enjoy making collages using only the materials you received.
That's what they call "Tericolla."
↑ And here are the seven packages of Tericolla materials I received.
@kamkam.04, who I have become friends with through Instagram,
sent them to me.
The Tericolla I made by choosing one from these is in the top photo.
I tried collaging on an envelope.
There were many wonderful materials with letters and illustrations I don't have or wouldn't normally choose,
and some that looked handmade,
bringing fresh fun and surprise.
I probably spent about two or three hours agonizing over it, saying "this won't do, that won't do."
Also, I never know when to stop (as always).
The thin paper in the center with a pattern like a coffee stain,
is so cute. I want washi tape like this \(^\^)/
"Participation prize" = "First, I tried participating in Tericolla prize" image ^^
There are still many materials left, and I couldn't use them all at all,
so I want to enjoy continuing soon ♪
@kamkam.04 ♡ Thank you for the gift full of thoughtfulness!

Hello!
The new release I introduced the other day,
has received a lot of access
and I am very happy that many people have seen it♪
At the shop, the Western book Narabeta quickly sold out
Sorry about that.
We are still selling the new Japanese labels and other stock (until the 12th).
They are sold a little cheaper than on minne and Creema,
so please feel free to purchase if you like.
On the morning of the 11th, minne and Creema will also sell the Western book Narabeta.
Due to increases in printing costs, raw materials, and auxiliary materials,
we sincerely apologize for the price revision.
The price will increase by 20 yen to 690 yen.
The plain label series will remain at 770 yen.
Also, updating the stock on minne and Creema requires entering each item one by one,
so it will take some time; we will start work at 9 o'clock, but
restocking will not be immediate at 9 o'clock.
We expect the update work to be finished by 10 o'clock, but
please be aware that there may be a time lag.
I tried sticking the Japanese labels on the monthly page.
The dates are visible through, so I stuck them on special days.
Also, Endlos, which I definitely want to use with the Western book Narabeta and my planner.
I wonder how everyone who has them uses them.
I dream that someday, somewhere, someone will show me.
Welcoming Spring
Everyone, belatedly,
Happy New Year.
I look forward to your continued support this year as well.
During the brief shop opening at the end of the year,
thank you very much for all the orders we received.
Also, I am very grateful for your quick responses to my many inquiries,
and I truly appreciate it.
At the very beginning of the year, we successfully submitted to the printing company,
and printing and processing are currently underway.
The delivery to me is scheduled around the 20th.
After inspection, we will ship in the order of orders, so please look forward to it a little longer.
We will send individual shipping completion emails to those whose shipments have been completed.
Please check the estimated delivery from there.
It has been a while since the new work, I wonder how it turned out...
As always, my heart is shaken with excitement and worry until it arrives in my hands.
And today, I will continue the big cleaning I missed, focusing on the kitchen area!

Let's Print at SURUCCHA!
Hello!
At the printing workshop SURUCCHA in Sendai City,
the consignment sale of orata masking tape has been going on for over two months.
During this time, there were states of emergency and priority measures to prevent the spread,
so I think fewer people than usual probably visited the store,
but still, some customers purchased items,
and some took cards home with them,
which makes me very happy and grateful.
The consignment sale is scheduled until the end of December.
Since the priority measures have been lifted,
I hope many customers will come to visit♪
Here, let me introduce the printing workshop SURUCCHA!!
SURUCCHA is on the 3rd floor of 1TO2BLDG. along Aoba Street near Nishi Park.
The 1st and 2nd floors are a cafe,
and even if the cafe is open, the 3rd floor may be closed.
Please check the availability on the site calendar for silk screen printing and electrolytic marking,
and make a reservation before you visit.
If you are coming to see stationery, please confirm the open days before visiting!
When you go up to the 3rd floor of 1TO2BLDG., there is a stationery corner at the entrance,
and orata masking tape is placed at the bottom of the pegboard.
Please be sure to take an orata index card home with you as well.
The paper materials and inks at the counter are very tempting.
You can buy printing materials or bring your own.
There are also many printing samples.
Choosing the ink is also fun.
Printing on black cloth changes the impression quite a bit.
The workspace can also be reserved exclusively.
You can print photos and do multi-color printing.

Trying to Make Craft Cola♪
Hello.
Cool days have continued,
and just when I thought summer was over, this heat came.
How is everyone doing?
Yesterday, I tried making craft cola.
After letting it sit for a day, it was just right to drink.
It's quite delicious. The aroma is irresistible.
And it's simple.
I'm glad I followed the trend (^o^)
Ingredients
Beet sugar (any sugar will do) 200g (many recipes said 300g though...)
Water 300cc
Cinnamon stick 1 piece
Clove 1g
Cardamom 2g
Vanilla beans (I didn't have any, so I used a few drops of vanilla essence)
Lemon 1 piece
How to make
Put all ingredients except lemon in a pot and simmer gently for 5 to 10 minutes without boiling vigorously.
After it cools, squeeze the juice of half a lemon and add it. Slice the remaining half thinly and put it in the bottle together.
Let it sit in the refrigerator for about a day before drinking.
Concentrate: Dilute with carbonated water at about 1:5 ratio and enjoy♪
Remake Envelope
Hello!
Received from SURUCCHA
The retro newspaper made with risograph printing was so cute,
Remake into an envelope?
The masking tape used is "Kasanari Narabeta III."
This masking tape is always popular in the access rankings on minne.
Since the pattern has a patchwork feel,
You can patch various materials together and stick them,
Use the upper half and lower half of the pattern separately,
and I hope you enjoy the random feeling.
Why are envelopes and paper bags so exciting?
Partly because you can't see the contents,
and even if you can see through, it's cute.
The rough and smooth texture, the seal that holds it,
The smell of glue, something printed on it,
All contain the sender's message.
Well, I also like plastic bags,
but I also like that paper is easier to remake than plastic.

The Future of orata
Hello.
The restock on minne and the shop opening day are approaching.
Before that, there is something I absolutely must inform you about.
It has been four years since orata started making unique name washi tapes that can be found nowhere else,
and we have already sent out thousands of rolls to the world,
and have connected with thousands of customers.
I was just an ordinary housewife struggling with child-rearing, without any particular hobbies or skills,
but having a job based on my own ideas,
and being able to connect with customers and printing companies all over Japan,
has been an incredibly happy experience.
Making washi tape is very enjoyable for me now,
an exciting time, and of course also a time of struggle and worry.
The struggle is the pain of creating something new,
and the pressure of possibly not meeting expectations,
but I have never felt so discouraged that I wanted to quit.
Separately, due to overlapping personal circumstances,
I have decided to put a pause on making washi tape for now.
The orata shop will close temporarily after the January orders next year.
On minne, I plan to continue by creating new products and restocking inventory,
but in principle, I will no longer be able to make the main products of orata name washi tapes,
the Orata series and the Adult Orata series.
I apologize for this announcement coming at the busiest time for preparing for school entrance and enrollment.
If there are customers who would like to try making name washi tape as a substitute for name stickers,
please place your orders in October or January.
I am very sorry to cause inconvenience to customers who enjoyed making washi tape with their shop names and other creations,
my fellow creators.
And to the many repeat customers who have enjoyed using orata washi tape over and over again,
you are of course customers, but to me who was creating alone,
you feel like comrades who have grown and built orata together,
like childhood friends.
I am filled with gratitude once again. Thank you very much.
Believing that the time will come when I can restart orata again someday,
I will devote all my effort to the remaining two orders.

From the moment I saw this package,
I enjoyed putting the sweets in my mouth, savoring the taste and texture,
and the long-lasting lingering aftertaste kept me excited♡
Even I, who usually don’t react much to cute things,
realized for the first time that I get thrilled by cute food,
that day (lol).
I climbed Mount Fuji
Hello!
In early August, I climbed Mount Fuji.
The last time I climbed it was 14 years ago, and I was deeply moved,
so I always wanted to try again with my children someday.
And this year, when my son became a sixth grader,
in a drunken impulse
"Shall we go?"
and I ended up booking a mountain hut on the spot.
I expected that once decided, I would work hard to exercise (laughs)
As expected, the day arrived without much exercise.
When we departed from the 5th station, we couldn 27t see the summit,
but gradually the clouds cleared,
We enjoyed our snacks deliciously, slowly and steadily...
I wonder which lake this beautiful lake is ← I still haven 27t looked it up
The lodge we stayed at was at the 7th station. The night view from there was beautiful.
It seemed there was a fireworks festival at the lake,
and watching the fireworks going off below was also moving!
The photo below is one I also posted on Instagram.
Just before departure, in a rush, the sunrise seen from the lodge.
I was so moved that I couldn 27t stop trembling.
Distracted by the sky and mountains changing colors rapidly, we headed for the summit.
My feet didn 27t hurt, but I was short of breath.
But miraculously, no one got altitude sickness, and everyone was fine.
I think it was because we climbed at the slow pace of two women.
We safely reached the summit and had an 800 yen cup noodle.
Even though it was lukewarm and a bit hard, why is it so delicious?
The view from the summit was completely hidden by fog (laughs)
The crater seen from the summit. Very impressive.
And above all, the tough descent.
14 years ago, this caused my knees to go bad.
And this year, my knees went bad immediately again.
I tried the trick my son told me, descending backwards,
and somehow made it back to the 5th station.
When it 27s tough, watch ahead and go backwards, I recommend it (laughs)
Still, I deeply felt how much my children have grown strong.
It was a trip that made me reflect on that.
My husband and I should have aged 14 years since then,
but my decline is terrible.
Maybe there won 27t be a next time?
No, maybe we should try again just the two of us.
I saw many elderly men and women using ordinary walking sticks,
so I secretly thought that on a summer day.
By the way, a postscript. When I tried to properly prepare climbing gear,
I was nervous about how much it would cost for four family members,
but our family was saved by Workman!
Rain suits, socks, gloves, climbing pants, and so on.
It 27s wonderful♪
Wood Chip Collage
Hello!
Wood chips received from akko.
Playing with this to do something fun
Adult homework♪
Finally completed.
While climbing Mt. Fuji, I kept thinking about it,
It took quite some time to take shape.
I was the type to panic just before the first day back at school for summer homework,
But this continues forever (lol)
And it seems to be passed down to the children as well...
The photo above is the progress so far.
I want to paint it with paint.
I want to use the Japanese paper I found at the soba shop the other day.
Muttering that I should use some masking tape too...
What a fun task~♪
Sorry for the delay, akko (^人^)
I immediately put it in a frame and displayed it, feeling great♡
Ribbon masking tape for wrapping.
Hello!
We are currently accepting orders in the shop♪
The popular new item is,
the adult Orata series CHECK masking tape!
It is also recommended as shop tape.
I thought it might be nice for wrapping, so I made a ribbon (╹◡╹)
Wouldn’t it be cute if this was stuck on?
The way to make it isn’t really worth explaining, but
① Stick the masking tape together on both sides,
② First, make a loop,
③ Then cut both ends of the tape to place underneath,
④ And just secure it with a thin masking tape.
Actually, I wanted to try making a rosette, but
it was too difficult, so no way~~ (*´ー`*)
The shop is accepting orders until the 16th.
If you place an order this month, it will be shipped from early to mid June.
What do you put in your yogurt?
Hello!
The shop has been open since the 4th.
We have received many visits and orders,
Thank you always and forever!
We have received many very interesting and fun orders for the new CHECK masking tape,
Lots of them have arrived♪
We are accepting orders until the 16th,
Please take this opportunity to try it out.
The photo is something I drew from a thought I had in the morning.
Influenced by my mother, for diet and health,
I started mixing various things into my yogurt every morning,
Yesterday, when I went to the nearby supermarket,
Daikon radish and honey were lined up in the yogurt section,
It said that putting grated daikon and honey in yogurt is good for your body.
Uh, I’m curious. But is this tasty? Is it popular?
Come to think of it, I also tried yogurt with onion and salt,
and it was delicious like a salad!
But what I can keep doing is something that doesn’t take much effort.
By the way, the yogurt I’m currently eating,
with rhubarb jam, oatmeal, and okara powder,
If I can tolerate the dry texture of the okara powder, the taste is good,
and my bowel movements are smooth♪ (Unfortunately, it hasn’t helped with dieting)
Everyone, what do you put in your yogurt?
I suddenly really want to ask.
Has anyone tried daikon honey yogurt?
Playing with Kitchen Accessories Using Masking Tape
Hello!
The kitchen where I stand every day.
This little one I see every day.
Have you gotten tired of this face after so many years?
Aren't you tired of it?
I'm sure you are tired, right? Yeah, well.
I felt like I heard that voice, so I played with masking tape.
Being looked at by this face every day
A colorful beret made with color-coded orata masking tape
At this stage, I decided to make it a girl
Quite pleased with it
Condiments that come with lunch boxes or pizza,half-used soup stocks, things that aren’t really meant to be displayed…
Since it’s masking tape, I can replace it with another face when I get tired of it again♪
Make the Chin-Split Strawberry Cute.
Hello.
Congratulations to everyone who has entered kindergarten or school, advanced a grade, or progressed to a higher level.
My children also got injured during spring break, and I was flustered as a mother, but
somehow they advanced safely.
So far, they are happily attending.
School is not everything, but being able to like and enjoy school
is something I feel truly grateful for every day.
On minne, many people have seen my work,
and I have sent many new works to many people.
Especially, the "Konnichiwa" masking tape has been very popular, which was unexpected for me.
On the other hand, my personal favorite, the Chin-Split Strawberry,
might not convey its charm very well... (>_
So, I tried to make it look cute and took a picture with a strawberry!
Even emphasizing the cuteness, its strong character still seeps through,
but it’s not creepy (← my own evaluation),
and it remains a mysterious masking tape as always...
I hope it meets people who love strong-character masking tapes (laughs)
Still haven't noticed (lol)
Hello!
The masking tape you ordered in January,
has all been shipped by yesterday.
Since yesterday, I have received emails,
and posts on Instagram,
which I am very happy to see♪
For those who haven't received theirs yet, it should be just a little longer,
so please look forward to it!
I also need to proceed with shooting the new work,
but suddenly a mischievous idea sprouted,
thinking about adding a fish to the torn paper cat my daughter made the other day,
...or whether I should or not (lol).
In the end, unable to suppress my mischievousness,
I stuck a fish on it, put it in a frame, and displayed it,
and it seems my daughter still hasn't noticed after coming home. Hehe
Continuation of what I started this year.
Hello.
The masking tape orders received in January
are scheduled to be shipped in order of purchase starting February 3rd.
Since there were a lot of orders, it might take longer than usual,
so please look forward to it!
The photo above is a candy box I tried collaging using old match labels.
I'm thinking of using it to store old stamps and labels♪
The allowance system I started this year has not even passed a month yet,
and it has its ups and downs.
Here are the rules we decided on at home.
1. To help out voluntarily
2. To manage money by oneself (keep an allowance ledger)
3. To save money from the allowance (Mom's bank). Ideally half
4. To withdraw money from Mom's bank only once a month
5. No lending or borrowing money, or treating or being treated among siblings or friends
6. Consult parents when making purchases over 1000 yen
The amount is currently set at age × 100 yen.
Receiving allowance from parents and having money to spend freely means
that the family’s money decreases accordingly,
so voluntarily doing what one can for the family
was a condition I absolutely could not compromise on.
There may be days when it can’t be done due to various circumstances,
but I hope this allowance system will become a trigger for helping each other when someone in the family is in trouble to become normal.
At the beginning, my child voluntarily helped out,
deposited a lot in Mom’s bank, and thought about what to buy
changing their mind every day about what to buy,
but after a while, helping out became inconsistent.
Then, New Year’s money arrived by mail,
and my child started saying they wanted to spend it all, leading to another family meeting.
My son said
"It’s going to be the rules parents decide anyway. That’s enough!"
and got upset and laid down.
At times like this, I can’t handle my frustration equally with my son
and end up fighting on the same level, but my husband calmly said
"If you stop talking like that, it’s over. Let’s take a breath and talk again. Let’s properly decide where we can both compromise."
and spent a long time, enough to tire my son,
talking about various things regarding the New Year’s money.
I also reflected on how much I had avoided talking about money until now.
"New Year’s money = future education expenses"
I finally realized the reality that such a sweet calculation will not continue in the future.
This Month Too.
Hello.
Thank you very much for all the orders this month as well,
we truly appreciate it.
We successfully submitted to the printing company at the beginning of this week.
The items are scheduled to arrive here in early February,
and once the schedule is clear, we will inform you here.
I'm looking forward to the finished product this time too♪
There were so many orders for the name washi tape,
it was very rewarding to make them.
It will soon be three full years,
and during this time, the environment surrounding washi tape,
as well as the lineup of name stickers,
have changed quite a bit, I think.
I am still the only one printing names on each washi tape roll,
just like three years ago,
and as long as there are people who want them,
I want to keep working hard on making washi tape.
The photo shows waxed kraft tags.
Waxing involves scraping wax, ironing,
just looking at the increasing amount of paper,
and it’s a fun task that lets you become completely absorbed.
Kraft tags are thick, and the wax doesn’t soak in easily,
so I realized they are not very suitable because they use a lot of wax and become blotchy.
But the finished tags look somewhat like leather,
so I don’t dislike them ( ^ω^ )♡
Since you can’t write on waxed tags,
I tried sticking Japanese paper,
and also stamped the immigration stamp that Yuki gave me before♪
In between work, I had Ichida persimmon mille-feuille.
The butter is light, and the sweetness of the dried persimmon is subtle.
Ah, a moment of rest.
Things I Started This Year.
By the way...
This year,
we started an allowance system for the kids.
My son is in 5th grade, my daughter in 3rd grade, and I think it might be a bit late to start an allowance system.
I thought it might be late.
They received New Year's money at the end of the year,
and ended up playing with a capsule toy machine that caught their eye,
and my son, feeling uneasy about the shrinking contents of his wallet,
said, "Hey, is there any chore I can do to earn money?"
He said.
I said, "Cleaning the bath is 10 yen, folding and putting away laundry is 20 yen."
And he helped out more smoothly than usual.
Then he suddenly resumed his allowance ledger,
(By the way, the first page was filled out 5 years ago...)
He seemed somewhat unsettled.
I thought maybe it was about time to start,
so we decided to have a family meeting on the theme "About the kids' allowance."
When starting the allowance system, my condition was that they must help out at home,
but
"I will, I will, I will, I will!!!"
was their enthusiastic reply.
The kids were very eager to have an allowance system,
and they presented many benefits (laughs).
Like how helping out a lot helps everyone,
learning how to manage money,
that having a proper reward for chores gives a sense of accomplishment,
and that helping out helps understand adult work and prevents trouble when they grow up.
Since they understood all that, I couldn’t help but smile wryly and wonder why they hadn’t done it before.
In the end, they asked, "How many times a day do I have to help to be OK?"
"Is it okay to count setting chopsticks as one time, and setting plates as another?"
Such strange reasoning also came up,
and the conversation deepened with questions like,
"Why do we do chores?"
"Have you ever seen how Dad moves when he does chores?"
"When it gets dark, you can ask if you should bring in the laundry, and if there’s trash at the entrance, you can ask what kind of trash it is and take it out, right?"
"It’s not like I’m done for the day just because I helped today; if someone in the family is in trouble, wouldn’t you want to help?"
The discussion gradually deepened,
and we all agreed that chores are not about the number of times you do them.
This is getting long, so the rest will be next time... ( ^ω^ )
Thank you for this year as well!
We have met many customers this year as well.
We received warm messages and words of encouragement,
and were told it was interesting and fun,
and despite doubts and worries, we were able to continue creating new masking tapes.
It was a very happy year.
Next year, orders will be accepted at the orata shop and the new site.
We are very excited.
Only a few hours left in 2018.
We wish you a happy New Year.
A Side Note from Mameta (LOL)
I am Mameta, who makes masking tape.
Suddenly, a side note (LOL)
→ This is a new category for the new site ( ^ω^ )
I like wine.
I especially like red wine.
I have no particular preference for brands and don’t really understand them.
So, I buy by tasting, tasting... tasting after tasting.
People probably wonder who this person coming to tastings every week is.
When I find something I like, I think I should just buy it online,
but I buy wine by tasting it, even though I buy clothes online without trying them on (LOL).
If I had to say, wine is completely about encounters for me.
Rather than searching and searching to find it,
it’s a very luck-based, chance encounter. Even if it’s a miss, it’s fun♪
I just look forward to the next wine I will encounter.
By the way, I also like sake, shochu, and whiskey.
(You could just say I like alcohol.)
I have even attended a sake school.
I visited sake breweries and listened to brewers’ stories,
and finally learned how to taste sake.
It’s so deep that I hesitated at the entrance, but
Sake is really delicious!
What was I talking about... now that I’m getting a bit tipsy,
I’ll throw in another side note here (LOL)
A nostalgic drinking occasion from some time ago. The one in front was an olive oil bottle (LOL)
Coming Soon
Hello!
The end of the year is busy in many ways... How is everyone doing?
The orata shop is in the final stages of moving to a new site.
Our motto is easy to see and smooth♪
Once the move is successfully completed, we will inform everyone,
so please wait just a little longer♡
So, I made a coming soon collage.
This is only the second time I have made a collage with people in it.
Even though the girl is super cute, I swapped her eyes and mouth.
I tried adding numbers like a countdown, but
it ends up being confusing (laughs)
The next shop opening is scheduled from January 4th to January 15th.
We also plan to introduce new products within this year, so please look forward to it♪
Beloved Leather Accessories.
Hello!
The masking tapes ordered by customers in October and November
have all been shipped by December 1st.
Even if you haven't received them yet, it should only be a few more days,
so please look forward to them.
The photo shows handmade leather accessories by akko, who has appeared many times before.
I fell in love at first sight and purchased them.
I absolutely love leather products,
and I also love things that combine leather with something else.
I immediately tried attaching it to a knit jacket,
carrying a leather tote bag and wearing leather earrings, skipping energetically to the school event.
↑ If you see such a suspicious person, that’s definitely me (laughs).
What akko makes are things that seemed like they might exist but didn’t,
things you feel like you’ve been waiting for all along,
and they fit perfectly in their place with pinpoint precision.
For masking tape too, I always want to create something
that people can say, "I’ve been waiting for this all along!"
I want to make pinpoint perfect items like that.
Let’s do our best.
Akko, sorry for the late introduction!
Thank you always and forever♪
Walking in Shibuya.
Good evening!
The shipment of the masking tape you ordered
is currently scheduled to be shipped from the 30th,
but we will inform you as soon as it is confirmed♪
Yesterday, I walked around Shibuya.
There was a shop I really wanted to visit, and I had only passed through Shibuya before,
so I walked there for a long time for the first time in my life.
Once again, it’s such a stimulating city.
I didn’t even know where to look,
and I ended up being turned down by the shop I wanted to visit the most,
and just walked 12,000 steps and came back.
If I had to say whether I like it or not, I don’t like it,
but it’s a place where you can really feel life moving at an incredible pace.
Once you get on that flow, I wonder if it’s hard to get off?
That’s what I thought.
I saw a foreigner stuffing something into a backpack,
and it was two Coca-Cola cans with Shibuya prints.
Ah, that might be a good souvenir.
While looking at them, I hurried on and soon found the same cans in a vending machine.
Embarrassed, I bought one.
"Excuse me, we’re looking for a haircut model,"
someone called out to me.
Huh, me? I looked around and hurriedly ran away.
Then, from behind me, someone shouted,
"Do you remember when you last cut your hair?!"
I wondered how messy I must have looked.
It wasn’t about whether I was suitable as a model,
they were simply looking for someone who needed a haircut.
The Christmas card in the photo is one I made by imitating a glove motif card
I saw at a general store. With Coca-Cola.
A miscellaneous collage on a crosswalk sign.
A very Shibuya-like shot.
For the Pencil Case♪
Hello!
We have been receiving many visits and orders every day.
Thank you very much♪
The deadline for this masking tape order is until this Friday.
The next order will be next year.
Just facing the computer every day, after all,
ideas do not come to me.
At such times, I usually go for a walk,
but unfortunately, I seem to have suffered my first ever back strain,
and I can barely walk to the osteopathic clinic.
The pencil case in the photo is made of craft paper
the same material as the label attached to the denim.
I pasted handmade labels by akko, masking tape, stamps, etc. as I liked,
and applied varnish. I also tried attaching a charm.
It looks like leather.
Come on, ideas, start flowing soon!
I'm thinking of trying a different style on the back side.
My daughter's comment was just one word.
"Flashy"
Is it really that flashy? (⁎⁍̴̆Ɛ⁍̴̆⁎)
Touching Arashi.
Hello!
From the collaborating artist akko, who is working with the Collaboratta series,
I received wonderful works ♡
And so many of them!
The remake board in the center was originally a kamaboko board.
It seems she collaged it with the theme of "peace,"
and to think it turned out so cool, even the kamaboko that was supposed to be the star must be surprised.
As for akko,
"That was no good—"
was how she felt about it,
but to me, its a divine work (*´∇`*)
I fell in love at first sight ♡
Along with it, she sent antique-style small bottles,
wooden keychains,
and many paper items specially made by akko.
I intended to post each one individually with photos,
but I wanted to make this a collective piece, like a single picture,
so I took a photo of them all together.
What a wonderful view...
Ill print this, put it in a frame, and display it. Yes ♡
Thank you always, akko.
With your works this time as well, my motivation
is soaring (*^o^*)
I want to create things that move people like this,
too.
I am always grateful that you make me feel this way ♪
Takoyaki is ready.
Hello!
The masking tape you ordered in September,
was successfully submitted to the printing company last week.
Delivery is scheduled from early to mid-October.
Once the date is confirmed, I will inform you here again♪
Thank you very much for all the orders this month as well!!
The photo is todays lunch.
Since my son is at a training camp,
my daughters friend came over to play,
and we had takoyaki lunch together.
"At our house, we eat it with wasabi or mustard at the end,"
my friend taught me,
"Its Russian takoyaki!"
Excitedly, we added the chili pepper in the photo.
This chili pepper has recently become a favorite,
with fresh chili and garlic,
it goes well with noodles, grilled chicken, dumplings, pasta, pickles, and more.
Well, since its not a punishment game for me,
only the kids participated (laughs).
We squeezed in about 8cm worth!
Fortunately, my friend got it, and it was very exciting (^∀^)
By the way, I also made some with lots of wasabi, but no one got it.
For my older brother and husband,
in the freezer among the takoyaki... hehe, hehe, hehe.
Collage with Arrows and Dotted Line Washi Tape.
Hello!
The second collaboration washi tape, "Arrows and Dotted Lines," which was sold in advance on minne,
sold out quickly,
and we apologize for not being able to deliver to all customers who said they wanted it m(_ _)m
You can order it from the shop starting on the 4th,
so please feel free to use it if you like!
I enjoyed collaging with the collaboration washi tape.
It ended up looking autumn-colored,
but with no plan at all,
I stuck it on without getting bored and got absorbed ♪
Framed it and smiled.
Book Cover.
Hello!
As usual, while I was brainstorming ideas for a new masking tape,
I got sidetracked again (´ー`)
The "Kamahanu" and Kadokawa collaboration book cover I received when I bought a paperback the other day
was very cute (corn pattern),
so I decided to make a book cover myself♪
The tracing paper I stuck on and the waxed foreign book,
were actually made with various efforts since the day before yesterday,
so the production period was longer than a spur of the moment idea.
And surprisingly, no masking tape.
"Hon no nai yo no naka nante"
No book, no life.
Something like a monologue (in Japanese / lol)
I went to Country Quilt Market in Nishi-Ogikubo♪
Hello!
The category is stationery shop tour, but
I went to a specialty craft store called Country Quilt Market in Nishi-Ogikubo,
which handles USA cotton and more!
Actually, my original purpose was a stationery shop, but
the shop I was aiming for was temporarily closed, and the shop I happened to find and enter was so wonderful,
I really wanted to introduce it and decided to write an article about it♪
Attracted by the antique atmosphere of the storefront, I entered the shop,
I was amazed by the beautiful fabric walls neatly arranged by color in the spacious store.
On the second floor, there are buttons, Tirol tapes, lace, charms,
and vintage fabric scraps packed tightly!
I have never seen such a wide variety of lace, buttons, and charms,
and I heard they are directly purchased from America,
I was deeply impressed by the considerable effort of the shop owner.
The lace and the lace-lined aisle beyond looked beautiful♪
In the end, I bought lace and charms,
looked at the rosettes displayed in the store, and chatted with the staff,
I had a very enjoyable time and came back.
Even if you are not into crafts, especially if you like antiques,
I'm sure this will become a favorite shop for you!
Oh yes, there were a few stationery items placed beside the stairs,
and letter paper, masking tape, and stamps blended perfectly into that space.
From tomorrow, there seems to be an attractive event called "Nishi-Ogi Tea Walk" in Nishi-Ogikubo!
Country Quilt Market will also offer tea service,
and many works by handmade artists will be displayed♪
Envelope collage with this month's popular masking tape.
Hello!
Thank you very much for all the visits and orders this month as well,
we really appreciate it♪
The order deadline is the day after tomorrow, Wednesday.
I may have sent you an email to confirm the input text,
so please check if you have received any emails from @aomado.conohawing.com,
it would be appreciated if you could confirm!
The photo shows an envelope collage made using this month’s popular masking tape, Wallpaper Mint.
Since I originally don’t have many materials,
the profile of this person is from the thin paper that wrapped my son’s sneakers, which I kept,
I stuck on things like paper napkins and nets (lol) as I thought of them,
and as expected, it became a bit messy ^_^;
I was trying to create a French feel at first, but halfway through it turned into a Jamaican vibe,
and after sticking on a Jamaican stamp, I hurriedly corrected it.
Oh well, I’ll try again (*´-`)
Labeling sewing tools with masking tape.
Hello!
We have resumed accepting shop orders from the 4th after a long time♪
We are truly grateful for the many accesses and orders we have received!
Thank you very much!!
Orders will continue to be accepted until the 16th, so we look forward to your continued support.
The photo shows my 5th grade son's sewing tool set.
I am preparing to label it with masking tape.
The Orata series has names printed in a small size,
so it is very useful for labeling small items.
As shown in the photo, I cut it just at the edge of the letters and put it on the needle case,
and also stick it on the threader.
I thought it might be good to just put the first name on the pins.
By the way, nowadays sewing sets look stylish even when carried around
or tucked under your arm,
like a little fashionable bag, what is that about?
The one my son chose is a sports brand type,
and the girls' ones are all sparkly and frilly, like they might contain cosmetics or amenity goods,
so cute♡ What is that about?
The one I used long ago was a skin-colored box with a lid, with a picture of a ball or a fan,
very Japanese style, like a good wife and wise mother.
I used that for a long time, but when I got married, I only took the small case inside
as part of my dowry.
This one here↓ I wonder if anyone knows it ( ^ω^ )
I still use it. Only two pins from back then remain,
and mysteriously, the hand-sewing thread from long ago is still there (*_*).
For my son in the future,
I secretly hope he will become a man who can say,
"Dad will sew at least the cleaning cloth! Leave button sewing to me!"
.
Kuramae, I went to inBlooom Printing Fun♪
Hello!
I went to the Taiwanese miscellaneous goods store inBlooom Printing Fun that I had been curious about for a long time.
It is a textile brand shop from Taiwan by a Taiwanese female designer.
I heard that the first store in Japan opened last November,
and it was a shop I decided to visit someday.
The cute Taiwanese female staff said it was OK to take photos,
so I took a lot of pictures♪
It somehow feels retro and nostalgic,
yet it also has an urban and sophisticated simplicity,
and there are also funny designs that make you chuckle♪
I was quite attracted to the unique earrings, but I held back and got a stamp♪
At the back of the store, they also sell original fabric by the meter.
They have a good selection of fabric goods such as bags, aprons, placemats, and wrapping cloths,
and the original printed masking tape, memos, and sticky notes were also cute♡
I can really understand why Taiwanese stationery is popular.
And the magpie, which has become a symbol of the store,
can be printed by yourself, so
I did silk screen printing on the gray fabric bag I chose♪
I was impressed with the very beautiful finish!
There are several other plates to choose from, and you can select your favorite color from the many stacked inks.
An original bag completed for 1500 yen♡ I am very happy♪
Next to this store, there is also a Taiwanese tea cafe.
I will try to go there next time~♪
THE Staining♡
Hello!
We have started selling new works and reprints on minne,
and have been spending busy days with shipping, shipping, and more shipping.
Amidst all that, there was a delightful surprise (о´∀`о)♪
This is a work by Kan-chan, a specialist in staining processing (antique processing, vintage processing)!!
Kan-chan participated in the Instagram collaboration masking tape giveaway,
and was the lucky winner\(^o^)/
As a polite gesture, as a thank you,
using Akko-san's collaboration masking tape,
she sent a handmade card with a message♡
The blue tone was also a color I really liked,
and the way the colors mixed was truly wonderful!
She really brought out the best of the masking tape,
The exquisite muted and aged feel is irresistible!
I had seen her works many times on Instagram,
but seeing the real thing, I couldn’t help but be moved thinking, this is truly "THE Staining."
The photo above is the cover on the opposite side of the card.
On top of the hydrangea print, there is something bumpy attached,
a wonderful work with a three-dimensional effect and shine.
When I found the envelope that looked like an antique at the bottom of the card in the mailbox,
I was so shocked I thought it was an owl post from Harry Potter (laughs).
Kan-chan, I was truly happy with your moving stained work and warm message!
Thank you very much♪

The masking tapes ordered in February, I think we might be able to start shipping in the latter half of next week,
but since we haven't received any contact from the printing company yet,
I'll write again once the exact date is clear!
And here is the February Orata series (including adult Orata) popularity ranking♡
1st↗ Watercolor Masking Tape
2nd↘ Obi
3rd↗ Thin Ribbon
4th New Cotton
5th↗ Botanical Tag
I truly feel again that the watercolor masking tape is a long seller.
Even now, my mother said she wants to make her own name with the watercolor masking tape (laughs).
And the photo above is of the most popular fixed design masking tape,
I tried making a wrinkled collage with LIFE masking tape.
For me, it turned out quite nicely♪
I tried hanging it on the wall♡
Next to it is Akko's remake board♡
2nd Anniversary
Good morning.
A Sunday just like any other.
While I am busy with housework and work,
my daughter is making something with a milk carton.
Outside, it suddenly feels like spring.
Two years ago today, when I opened my new online shop,
I was so nervous that I have no memory at all of what was happening outside.
One year, two years, it has only been two years,
but even after two years, I am still busy,
because customers have spread the masking tape I make,
and have cherished it, I believe.
They have sent encouraging messages and given me ideas for new products,
and even when I was in a pinch,
they continued to stay connected with me, and I am grateful for that.
Also, it is thanks to the printing company that always accommodates my requests,
and it would not have been possible without the cooperation of my family.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone, everyone.
I wonder how far I can keep going.
I still have no confidence, as always,
but I have decided to continue making each item carefully as I have until now.
As long as there is a sign that something new will be born from me,
as long as there are customers who say they want it,
as long as my family says it’s okay to continue,
I don’t know how far this ladder will go,
but I felt I would try my best to climb it.
It was the morning of the start of the third year.
Rosette with Masking Tape♡
Hello!
Before introducing the new work, please allow me to introduce a wonderful package♪
This is a piece by cocoa, who I am friendly with on Instagram.
Using Hikyaku masking tape and Love Green masking tape,
she made and sent me a rosette.
Valentine's chocolates too♡
Still, I have no idea how she made it at all (^_^;)
The curve, the two-tiered frills, everything is so smooth,
and the color combination is exquisite, giving it an irresistible original feel!
You can put a message in the center or write something on the ribbon,
and with various ideas, it becomes a special gift♪
Hikyaku masking tape rosette & Hikyaku note paper.
Rokkatei chocolates & Rokkatei masking tape rosette.
Such a lovely collaboration~ ( ˊ̱˂˃ˋ̱ )♡
Seeing masking tape being used like this
is truly a happy moment.
I once again think that masking tape is meant to be used, and I will enjoy looking at it for a while♪
My daughter tried to imitate it somehow,
but I couldn’t support her at all, so she gave up (T . T)
No, I won’t give up yet, I’ll keep trying.
cocoa, thank you always for your kind thoughtfulness!
January's Popular Masking Tape Ranking♪
Hello!
The cold days continue day after day, how are you doing?
Right now, with a hot coffee in hand,
I'm wrapped all over in a blanket writing my blog.
I wrote yesterday as well, but the masking tapes currently ordered
are scheduled to be shipped in order of purchase from February 11.
I'm sorry to keep you waiting for so long, but please look forward to it.
Here is the January Orata series (including adult Orata) popularity ranking!
1st place debut Obi
2nd place debut Sakura
3rd place↗ Strawberry
4th place↗ Red Blue Green
5th place↘ Thin Ribbon
The new Obi was very popular♪
There were many orders without text, and quite a few amusing phrases,
the kanji used old forms, and the hiragana shapes are retro,
so I am really looking forward to the finished product♪
Sakura also has a very refreshing and elegant atmosphere, so I am excited about that too!
And the overwhelmingly popular masking tape that surpasses the Orata series is,
as expected, the collaboration series ▶ A dozen♡
The photo is together with a work by akko, who designed this masking tape♪
The more you use it, the more expressions it shows, a mysterious masking tape.
I just hope to deliver it to you soon!
November's Popular Masking Tape Ranking♪
Hello!
If all goes well, I think we might be able to ship from this weekend to early next week,
but we haven't heard from the printing company yet, so I'm waiting anxiously.
Please wait a little longer for the shipping date notification.
And here is the November ranking for the Orata series (including adult Orata)!
1st place debut: Thin Ribbon
2nd place → Denim
3rd place ↗︎ Watercolor Masking Tape
4th place ↗︎ Tatting Lace
5th place ↘︎ Botanical Tag
That was the ranking. Thin Ribbon has really unique orders,
and I’m very excited to see how they will turn out.
Especially for those who own shops or sell handmade goods,
please make good and fun use of them!
The photo is a test print from the small letterpress machine the other day♪
Preparation took time, choosing paper and ink,
adjusting the text, and it took hours to print the perfect sheet (sweat).
I might try again when I have more time.
The system can do authentic letterpress printing by mixing ink with a roller,
but since cleaning and maintenance seemed troublesome,
for now I used stamp ink.
I was hoping to see how much indentation would be made on the paper,
but it didn’t indent as much as I expected.
Maybe the pressure isn’t applied evenly?
However, when printing with just one type block inserted, the pressure seems to concentrate on that point,
and it indents quite a bit.
It’s troublesome, but if you print one by one, it might indent nicely and look like reverse embossing♪
Using soft thick paper would be even better.
The font style is retro and very nice♪
It even included old kana characters like "ゐ" and "ゑ"!
The downside is that without ordering additional type blocks, it’s hard to print the desired text.
Also, besides the additional order fee, there is a handling charge, and using fixed amount postal money orders,
plus postage fees, makes the ordering process complicated.
That’s my impression so far!
A Small Letterpress Printer.
Hello.
I haven't bought a magazine with supplements since elementary school,
but I jumped at this one♪
"Adult Science Magazine" with a small letterpress printer supplement.
Including tax, 3780 yen~ (^_^;) I somehow feel sorry.
Can I do my favorite letterpress printing myself????
Can I make business cards or thank you cards?
Though I joked that I don't have business cards to hand out,
I happily assembled it for 30 minutes.
A palm-sized printer is complete!
Super cute♡
The plates are just hiragana, alphabet, and numbers,
but maybe this clumsy feeling is what makes it good.
I'll just look at it a bit like this and try printing another day♪
I went to the Tokyo Flea Market♪
Hello!
It's been quite a while since my last post about visiting stationery shops after submitting my work.
I finally participated in the "Tokyo Flea Market" that I had always admired (*^^*)
My family of four went, splitting into two groups: I went with my son, and my husband went with my daughter,
and soon after arriving, I needed to use the restroom,
and ended up waiting in line for over 30 minutes at the women's restroom (my son was with me), and I started to worry if my daughter was okay.
It was so crowded.
Anyway, there were so many people, shops, and items overflowing, and even looking at the map didn’t help.
But it was fun because there were lots of old things.
I took a lot of photos, so I will line them up here♪
Every item made my heart flutter, but seeing the prices made me give up repeatedly...
To some extent, I guess it’s inevitable that some things are expensive,
but isn’t a flea market originally a place to find bargains?
Some cute foreign-made tins (and paper boxes) were commonly priced at 4000 or 6000 yen.
Oh, next to me someone bought an old hand-crank coffee mill for 14,000 yen.
How nice ♡ It must make a very special taste ♪
Still, if you search patiently, you can find bargains!
Like watch parts, old film developing solvent containers,
letterpress printing plates, retro magazines, retro buttons,
matchboxes, lunch boxes — I couldn’t help but stop at each one.
What I especially liked and got absorbed in were these metal fittings.
I can’t handle them myself, but they are beautiful and their presence is very lovely.
It must be nice to have a large collection of them.
This area was crowded with tough-looking older men rather than women.
all members?
Hello!
This month's masking tape order is open until tomorrow♪
Thank you very much!
By the way, I wondered what would happen if I tried sticking all the masking tapes I have debuted so far (there are more that were rejected)
so I tried sticking them all (*^^*)
Hehe.
Quite a number.
The colors are somewhat biased too.
But you know,
there is actually one I forgot to stick!
If you notice the one I forgot to stick,
if there is someone who notices it first,
I might give one favorite masking tape as a present to one lucky person only♪
This is a sudden spontaneous event,
please try it if you like!

September Popular Ranking♪
Hello!
It's a bit late, but here is the ranking announcement of the popular masking tapes ordered in September.
The photo is with matchboxes that I casually collected at shops and inns when I felt like it.
There used to be opportunities to find cute matchboxes in the past,
but now they are not placed much.
This nostalgic design is irresistible... (*´-`)
Here is the September Orata series (including adult Orata) popular ranking!
1st place debut: Big Strawberry
2nd place debut: Mini Label II
3rd place ↗︎ Train and Car
4th place ↘︎ #Hashtag
5th place ↗︎ Dinosaur
5th place ↘︎ Watercolor Masking Tape
5th place ↗︎ Pink Gift
Big Strawberry was incredibly popular♪
I'm happy that all the remakes paid off!
The first time to rank in is Dinosaur.
Actually, although it was not in the top 5, it is a reliably popular pattern that is ordered every month.
As the year-end approaches, more people will start preparing for next year's kindergarten and school entrance,
so please also refer to the popular ranking♡
After posting the photo, I realizedーーー∑(゚Д゚)
I forgot to take a photo of the dinosaur masking tape ( T_T)

Handmade Pouch♪
Hello!
Today, I would like to introduce the handmade works of Chikuchiku Nyanko, who I have a friendly relationship with on Instagram.
Please allow me to introduce her handmade creations♪
Chikuchiku Nyanko's key pouch is really wonderful,
and I had definitely planned to buy one for a long time,
so I emailed saying "I want one,"
and at the same time, she surprisingly sent me a key pouch as a gift, which was a mysterious event!!
And here is the pouch that arrived (o^^o)
A practical and stylish adult pouch made with Liberty laminated fabric, a reel key holder, strap,
and a double ring attached ♡
I was deeply moved because I had never seen such a carefully made and thoughtful key pouch before♪
Not only as a key pouch, but also for holding IC cards,
coins, lip balm, medicine, or accessories,
I believe it is definitely a product that can be used for a long time.
She also enclosed something this cute ♡
A face pack—it's been a long time since I remembered being a woman,
so I used it right away♪
And today, the sanitary pouch I ordered again arrived (*´∀`)♪
The retro fabric is cute, and she listened to my requests from scratch about the size and zipper position♪
It became a cute product just as I had hoped!
The mini pouch is a bonus ∑(゚Д゚) Wow!
The sanitary pouch will of course be very useful during the sanitary period (lol),
but I will also use it to hold band-aids and candies!
I just thought of this, but the mini pouch might be good for holding a seal or a stamp pad♪
As shown in the photos above,
Chikuchiku Nyanko uses a lot of orata masking tape,
which makes me very happy again and again.
On the outer box and the inner wrapping.
I felt strongly that I need to work harder.
I am truly happy and proud to be able to help even a little bit the creators who make things sincerely like this.
Thank you very much!
If you are interested, please take a look at her shop!
Chikuchiku Nyanko's shop is here♪
A Modest Workspace♪
Good evening!
From customers who placed orders in June,
we have received many heartwarming reviews.
Please take a look if you like♪
And the photo above shows a modest workspace (study space) that I was able to set up in the living room,
for me (and sometimes for the kids)♪
It's not particularly stylish or neat,
but I'm so happy with my first workspace that I just had to share it.
Two Macs, a printer, a shredder, a large number of past order records,
my beloved crafts, packing materials, stationery, design books, a camera,
stocked masking tapes, small items for photography, and so on are all stored here.
Also, a sewing machine and sewing tools that only I use.
The new home is a bit smaller than the previous one,
but the children’s school is closer, and their friends’ houses are closer,
and moving gave me a chance to organize things, which was good,
so far, it’s all good♪
So, let’s work hard!
During summer vacation, I will work hard on office tasks that I haven’t had much time for until now.
As for future plans, I am planning to sell new works on minne in August.
In September, I plan to accept orders in the shop!
I will introduce new works soon, so please look forward to it♪
I went to Tegamisha in Chofu♪
Hello.
Since I couldn't go to the longed-for "Paper Expo" or the "Tokyo Flea Market,"
I definitely decided to visit "Tegamisha."
"Tegamisha" is a cafe and general store run by an editorial team called "Tegamisha."
They are also the organizers of the Paper Expo and Tokyo Flea Market events.
I wanted to enjoy at least the atmosphere♪
"Tegamisha" has three stores in Chofu,
Tegamisha Tsutsujigaoka Main Store (Cafe), Tegamisha 2nd STORY (General Goods & Cafe),
and Books and Coffee Tegamisha (Books & Cafe),
I wanted to see them all!
But I prioritized what I really wanted to eat, so I only saw the outside of the main store↓.
Although the surrounding area is a rather quiet housing complex,
it was a strange sight to see young women visiting here one after another.
This corner has been boldly renovated,
and beyond the old door, a stylish space clearly spreads out♪
I suppressed the urge to go inside and hurried to "Books and Coffee Tegamisha," which opens at noon.
This is a cafe where you can enjoy coffee and meals while reading books inside the store.
After ordering, I wandered around the store looking for a book I wanted to read♪
They also have stationery such as fountain pens and notebooks, making it a truly healing space.
And what I was waiting for was the open roast beef sandwich in the first photo♪
A thick roast beef mound sits on thick toast,
topped with a soft-boiled egg.
Inside the roast beef, there are potatoes and even a hamburger patty?
It’s quite a volume.
With blue cheese sauce and a tangy Japanese-style sauce on the plate,
I enjoyed it deliciously and neatly!
Then after the meal, I went to another store on the second floor.
This is 2nd STORY.
Of course, there are stationery items, as well as sweets, seasonings, beverages, clothing items like socks, and accessories,
all of which have a very cute sense of style.
The cafe in the back was also full of women.
The fresh pasta with lemon cream there looked delicious too!
The menu seems to differ slightly depending on the store,
so I want to try comparing them. Next time, with my husband♪
Envelope Collage with Popular May Washi Tapes♪
Hello!
Sorry for not updating for a while.
Yesterday, I finally submitted the data ordered in May to the printing company.
Now all that's left is to wait eagerly♪
Thank you very much for all the orders this month as well.
I will write on the blog again once the shipping schedule is clear!
And now, this months popularity rankingーー♪
1st → Mini Labels
2nd ↗︎ Burnt Paper
3rd → Red Blue Green
3rd ↘︎ Watercolor Washi Tape
4th ↗︎ Strawberry
4th ↗︎ Rose
5th ↗︎ Trains and Cars
Mini labels were incredibly popular again this month!
While introducing them, I tried my first envelope collage using the 1st and 2nd place washi tapes.
I also used handmade labels by Akko and cigar labels given by Mari♡
Combined with the horse-shaped sticky notes, it created a strangely charming look.
I'm still learning, so please look kindly upon it ^ ^
For the burnt paper washi tape, if you cut along the burnt edges,
I feel like you can play with it in interesting ways!
Handmade Soap♪
Hello!
I received something wonderful again♡
From a customer since the early days of orata, handmade soap and bath salts♪
I had heard that they make handmade soap as a hobby,
but I never imagined it would be this well-made,
I was very surprised!!
The marble colors are so cute, with a sweets-like appearance,
and the pleasant aroma scent is irresistible.
Previously, they made masking tape with the words "handmade soap,"
and it was sealed with that tape.
I was really impressed thinking, "So this is how it is used" ( ´∀`)♡
They also used name masking tape and favorite masking tape,
and I was just so happy and delighted.
Even if you don’t have a shop,
people who do handmade crafts often have opportunities to share their work,
so if you make something like "○○ handmade" or "made by ○○,"
you can add a personal touch to your creations,
and I felt again that it’s a nice idea.
Masking tape looks better when it’s used for something rather than just alone,
it really shines more when it’s stuck on something to serve a purpose♪

This stamp is a handmade eraser stamp by the admired YUKI-san, who I am friends with on Instagram ♡
I have always thought it was wonderful while looking at it on the screen,
but I never dreamed I would receive one, and I am deeply moved!
Anyway, the stamp surface is beautiful!!!
The cutting lines are so confident, it’s amazing!
Easy to stamp!!!
And I have completely fallen in love with YUKI-san’s unique design, which you can’t find in ready-made products ♡
I once asked YUKI-san for tips on carving stamps like hers,
and she told me to carve a lot of stamps.
I realized again that this is true for everything.
There’s no way to get better without effort.

Paper items that give me goosebumps.
From Mari-san, who has been friendly with orata since it just started,
a wonderful gift arrived♪
From the edge of the envelope wrapped in a collage sheet made by Mari-san,
I could already catch a glimpse of a foreign book, and I got goosebumps all over.
This collage sheet also uses orata masking tape,
and I was really impressed when I saw it on Instagram before!
The color scheme, texture, and combination, the more I break it down and explain,
it might sound strange,
but anyway, it is arranged in an exquisite balance,
I feel like I could eat plain rice while gazing at this for a while.
I can’t believe orata is mixed in such a high-sense creation.
Of course, I will display this!
The cause of the goosebumps is these paper items. The unique scent of old books is just wonderful♪
I have always liked stationery.
I also liked old things.
Of course, I loved masking tape too.
There are people who enjoy decorating their planners with cute collages.
There are people who exchange letters and wonderful packages,
and exchange paper item collections.
There are people who make handmade files and eraser stamps,
and create many original works.
There are people who use old foreign books, tickets, old stamps, labels, sealing stamps, etc.,
to make beautiful collage sheets and enjoy wrapping.
Mari-san was the one who taught me about this unknown world.
Among them, I felt that masking tape is treated with a mysterious presence.
I only understood masking tape as something to use as a sticker or cellophane tape.
For someone like me, Mari-san completely changed my perspective on masking tape,
and taught me its possibilities♡
She was concerned about my future and connected me with various people.
She also gave me advice about masking tape.
She really cared about me.
When I saw that I had very few followers and no one was commenting,
she would immediately leave a comment.
Although we met as a customer on minne,
to me, she felt like a benefactor who supported me during hard times.
These are all cute things.
Retro cute ice cream packaging and bread bags,
real estate flyers? Delivery absence notices? There are also notes like these,
I’m very curious about how she finds such amusing things (laughs).
The items I received will reappear in the new masking tape photoshoot ( ´∀`)
Mari-san, I was really happy!
I will use them carefully. Thank you very much♪

Hello!
I'm with my kids all day,
and with preparations for the new school term and various other things, the days are quite unsettled.
The other day, I went to IKEA for the first time in a while to look for organizing items,
and I tried a little collage with the gift tags I found there.
The five on the left were coffee dyed and had fake greenery attached.
The five on the right were not dyed, and I cut out dandelions from paper napkins (IKEA)
and from some cute paper items I received from akko before,
and stuck them on.
I dont know if this is good or bad, or where it ends, but I finished it as is.
But it was a nice change of pace~♪

The online shop opened on March 4th last year,
and we are about to celebrate our 1st anniversary.
It has been a year of running recklessly.
I had no experience, skills, or recognition,
and wondered if anyone would buy masking tape made by just a housewife,

This shop is run by a printing company located in Kochi Prefecture,

Photography was allowed, so I took a lot of pictures.

A semi-autobiographical novel by Mameta.
(I would be happy if you read it when you have free time)
The tired housewife M was not good at shopping in the evening.
"Isn't that M! Long time no see~"
If someone called out like that,
she would regret not wearing a mask and want to quickly escape.
Speaking of which, the disappointment with the face photo for the recent license renewal was intense.
Even though she had started a job making things she loved, it was a mysterious phenomenon that her face looked worn out.
She gave herself a pep talk.
"You can do the work you love, so enjoy it more."
Besides the eco bag, she had two shopping bags. The six-pack of canned beer was mercilessly heavy.
She was too tired to even open the mailbox door,
quickly grabbed the stack of flyers, and her feet headed for the stairs.
She felt there was a brown envelope among the flyers while going up the stairs,
but thought it was probably her husband's Amazon package.
So she went into the room, slowly put away the shopping bags,
scolded the child who was home alone,
and quite some time passed before she looked at the delivery.
"Good grief."
She had felt that way since waking up in the morning, until her attention was drawn to the delivery.
She saw the sender's name (akko).
No way.
But could this be what is called a "wonderful package" or "surprise delivery"?
Gently stroking her goosebump-covered arm, she quietly opened the brown envelope.
A soft fragrance wafted out.
She knew that her gifts always came with a scent,
and when everyone sniffed that scent,
many scenes she had seen repeatedly flashed through her mind in an instant.
There was no doubt.
An unexpected "thoughtfulness package" had arrived for M.
"Encouragement package" would also be a fitting name.
Akko was a creator whom M deeply respected.
M needed someones thoughtfulness and encouragement.
Whether akko knew it or not, she had prepared this thinking of M for some time.
M's body reacted to the gift delivered at that timing, her heart trembled, and she cried quietly.
Most of the gifts were her original works.
Remakes of scraps overflowing with her worldview.
Leather keychains with ticket designs.
Handmade labels full of vintage feel.
Mini envelopes collaged using things made by M.
She felt a consistent conviction in the things akko created.
It might not have been true, but M did not have the means to express it accurately.
And all of them were dazzling to M.
She felt a warm cheer along her skin. It was clear and definite.
M & Y.
M's initials.
She had seen it on akko's Instagram some time ago.
Yatsuba Mameta (Yappa Mameta), her still unimpressive name was proud at this moment.
This "thoughtfulness package" had another hidden role.
M had not noticed it yet.
But M was already under its magic.
She checked the bag many times a day, opening and closing it repeatedly.
Then she swallowed the scent deep in her nasal cavity and repeatedly felt reassured.
"Its okay. I just have to create. Because I wanted to create."
M's tired face was becoming positive in its own way.
Tomorrow, she would go out to look for hints for a new work with the new keychain.
Making Washi Tape Photography Props♪
Hello.
For next month's new washi tape photography props,
I really wanted to use wood, so I'm thinking about various ideas.
Cool ones are expensive,
and I can't find anything that fits the image in the first place,
so I ended up buying wood at a 100-yen shop and decided to make it myself.
Two types of wood for 200 yen, two types of water-based varnish for 200 yen,
The one at the bottom left is a collage-style paper napkin I happened to find.
The large board was just painted with teak-style water-based varnish.
The small one was cut with a saw, varnished,
and I tried tearing and pasting the paper napkin on it.
The paper napkin was excellent, so it was finished quickly!
Also, it is moderately thin, so it blends well with the wood and looks nice.
Whether this will really be used as a photography prop,
please look forward to the new washi tape in February♪
Since it is whimsical, it may change often ^ - ^
After that, I tried finishing it with varnish.
It has become a completely different thing♪
January Popular Ranking♪
Hello.
The cold days continue, how is everyone doing?
I am spending this calm time after submission,
this month not on stationery store tours (due to a spending warning),
but mostly on walks and reading.
Since it is a fixed cycle every month, to reset once,
it has become a precious, precious week.
That said, I am still searching for hints for the next new work in my head.
Here is this months Orata series (including adult Orata) popularity ranking♪
1st↗︎ Train and Car
2nd↗︎ Apple and Hedgehog
3rd↗︎ Ball
Because there were many orders for name masking tape for school entrance preparation at this time,
I think the popularity of white masking tape suddenly rose♪
Maybe because there were many boys, orders for train and car were overwhelming.
I always think and worry about new works for boys Orata series,
but I have not been able to debut them easily,
if you have any requests, please feel free to email me!
I am thinking of increasing series like sports club in the future.
To take the above photo, I took my usual scarf,
my favorite water bottle and book.
The book is this one I started reading yesterday.
Haruki Murakami, whose images spread smoothly in my head,
has no reading stress at all, so it is perfect for resetting mind and body♪
And for reading in the cold sky, short stories are the best.
Name masking tape is reaching its peak for school enrollment preparation!
Hello!
We received many orders this month as well♪
Thank you very much!
The name masking tape was very popular~~*\(^o^)/*
Since this is the season when preparations for kindergarten and school enrollment become full-scale,
we expected the orders to increase to some extent,
but we received more orders than expected, and we are truly honored!
The orders for this month were safely submitted to the printing company yesterday.
Shipping is scheduled from the end of this month to the beginning of next month.
We will inform you again on the blog as soon as the shipping date is decided.
We will send individual emails when the shipment is complete,
so please wait a little while until then!
Also, the order acceptance for next month is scheduled from February 4th to 15th.
If you missed ordering this month or couldn’t make it in time,
we look forward to your order next month!
We will also introduce new products, so please look forward to them.
The stamps in the photo above are kokeshi doll stamps that I recently like and use by stamping on the shipping boxes.
The kokeshi dolls come with items like wigs and glasses,
and words like "Thank you" and "Hello" are also included.
By exchanging wigs and items, you can create various faces.
But the glasses always slip, so I usually send them without items (sweat).
Along with the plum blossoms, I would like to express my feelings to the customers again.
"Thank you"
My First Serious Collage♪
Hello!
Thank you very much for your continuous visits and orders!
I'm very happy♪
We are accepting orders until midnight on the 15th,
so please take your time to think it over and place your order!
This year, I want to try various new challenges for the first time.
One of them is collage.
I have some small, little things,
but I decided to try making a serious collage,
and since I dont have many materials for collage,
I decided to challenge myself using free materials on my PC in my own style♪
Of course, I also used my washi tape ^o^
Under the sleeve collage↓
Just a little collage↓
I thought it was a bit cluttered while making it,
but when I printed it, it wasnt so bad, and I thought I could have done more.
Its quite difficultーーー.
I plan to try again with new washi tape!
Oh, the daikon radish my husband picked yesterday,
was a very tempting "just a little♡" (^ ^)
Masking Tape Instead of Name Stickers♪
Good evening!
The new year has begun, and it's about time to start preparing seriously for kindergarten and school enrollment.
For those who are learning about orata for the first time, let me explain about our name masking tape♪
The masking tape made at orata.net is,
masking tape on which you can print names.
For the name labeling work that is absolutely necessary for kindergarten and school enrollment,
it is a truly convenient item.
Name stickers are of course convenient, but
what I was most dissatisfied with was that they weren't very cute.
Also, the small stickers that you use a lot run out quickly,
and I felt the price was high,
so after ordering once, I ended up writing by hand.
After that, I also made stickers myself.
"I really wish I could print on masking tape,"
I always thought.
Because masking tape is easy to stick on, doesn’t smudge when wet,
if it peels off, you can just stick it again,
and when you want to remove it, you can peel it off easily.
I met a printing company that prints and processes what I want to create,
and finally commercialized the product in February last year.
I distributed a large number of samples to friends (made with their children’s names),
and listened to everyone’s reactions.
"What is this? So cute! I've never seen anything like this!"
"I wanted something like this. There are definitely many people who want it!"
"It's so convenient, I stuck it on so many things!"
Some friends showed me many photos and said this.
"I want you to make one for me too."
Since there were many such requests, we gradually increased designs for adults as well.
Since opening the shop in March, we have increased the number of designs every month,
and currently, the masking tapes that can be made into name masking tape
have increased to a total of 46 types (as of January 2017).
All orata masking tapes can be ordered from one roll.
For 700 yen, we print names on 9 meters of masking tape.
Depending on the length of the name,
you can make name masking tape that can be used about 200 to 300 times per roll.
We hope you will try it casually.
Of course, it doesn’t have to be a name.
You can create original masking tape with your favorite words like "Thank you always," "Thank you!" or "I love you,"
and enjoy it.
Please consider it as a commemorative gift for graduation as well.
For orders of 24 rolls or more, we will deliver with original labels including the kindergarten name, etc.
Both kindergarten and school enrollment are very happy moments where you can closely feel your child’s growth.
But the name labeling must always be completed in a short period,
and moms always feel a lot of pressure.
We want you to enjoy name labeling even a little.
We want to make the writing tools and school supplies chosen for children
as cute as possible so that children can use them without confusing them with others’ belongings.
We want to help prevent lost or misplaced items.
Orata is a small shop born from the love of such moms.
We believe that making someone happy leads to making another someone happy.
We hope you can connect with new people through masking tape.
Let's Create a Fun Masking Tape Together! Final Version
Hello.
Yesterday, we successfully announced the shipment!
From today, we will share the follow-up of the fun masking tape project,
and introduce new works again♪
First, the "Shall we all make one fun masking tape together?" project,
here is the finished product!
It was planned to have 23 encouraging words in dialects plus one of my own encouraging words,
but my part was cut ^^; and it contains 23 words.
All 23 words published were thought up by everyone who participated in the Instagram project♪
I will post photos, so please check if your word is there or not!
The dialects are intentionally written in alphabet letters♪
Under the text "Najoniganakkara It'll work out somehow by Fukushima"
there is a map of Japan with a megaphone placed around Fukushima.
This corresponds to each of the 23 words.
Illustrations of Mt. Fuji, cherry blossoms, a fan, bonsai, and waves representing the sea as an island country are also drawn.
On the graph paper section, the words are also summarized in Japanese.
We overworked it so much that the printing company had repeated errors,
but we somehow completed it and are relieved.
The three winners are scheduled to be shipped today!
In the end, we could only make one for shooting plus three for gifts,
so these three are precious.
There are currently no plans for reprints m(_ _)m
Winners, please look forward to it♪
And to all the many followers who participated in the project,
thank you very much!
We had a very exciting and fun time making it (*^^*)
December Popular Ranking!
Hello!
Christmas is just around the corner♪
I can't help but feel a little restless ^ ^
Early gifts arrived from my mother in Sendai for the children,
It's always picture books, but
There were also Christmas cards, stickers, and ornaments included,
So I took a photo together with this month's popular ranking♪
We will announce this month's Ora-ta series (including adult Ora-ta) popular ranking♪
1st place → Tatting Lace
2nd place ↗︎ Sneakers
3rd place ↗︎ Apple and Hedgehog
Tatting lace, I find it interesting how different colors appear every time I stretch it,
I think so myself.
The new sneakers, of course, had names,
There were also notes, and I am really looking forward to seeing how it will turn out♪
Apple and hedgehog are cute for both boys and girls,
So it is a recommended item for preparing for school entrance!
Everyone, please have a wonderful Christmas♪
Orders will start being accepted from 9 AM on January 4th in the new year!
November's Popular Ranking!
Hello!
We heard it would fall, but the snow really did fall.
It's the first time I've seen snow in Tokyo in November.
I've heard that influenza is starting to appear here and there at school, and while winter events are fun, these days I really don't like the flu.
Now then, let's announce this month's Ora-ta series (including adult Ora-ta) popularity ranking♪
1st place↗︎ Tatting Lace
1st place↗︎ RedBlueGreen
2nd place↘︎ Watercolor Masking Tape
3rd place↘︎ Denim
Tatting Lace debuted and took 1st place.
I was surprised!
The tied 1st place Red Blue Green started last month and seemed to be gradually spreading.
There were many unique orders for this Red Blue Green as well.
If you include addresses and such, you can also stick them on New Year's cards, and I feel again that it's a surprisingly convenient design.
Also, the most popular fixed design masking tape was Milk Cap Narabeta!
On minne, DETOX WATER Narabeta is still very popular!
The photo is with fallen leaves and camellia seed shells picked up by my daughter.
Although I took the photo with autumn in mind, outside is a midwinter scene.
It was a short autumn...
I went to Yamada Stationery Store in Mitaka♪
Good evening.
The third stop on my stationery shop tour after submission is Yamada Stationery Store in Mitaka♪
I've wanted to visit for a long time, and it really is like a sanctuary for stationery lovers ^ ^
It felt like I finally made it here.
Everything was exactly to my taste, as if the stationery was selected just for me, a stationery select shop.
It was nostalgic, cute, tiny, excellent quality, and exactly what I wanted — the selection was so perfect it was like they knew what I wanted.
I got permission from the staff to take photos, so I took a lot♪
There were tiny keychains, chalkboard erasers, and jump boxes too.
Mini memos like manuscript paper and receipts looked very useful.
There were lots of nostalgic patterns on stickers, foreign stamps, and masking tape!
I was reminded again how wonderful the designs are on library stickers like "Do Not Remove" and "Donated Book."
Stamps, wrapping paper, market bags, medicine bags, tickets, wax-sealed old books — everything was so cute and lovely ♡
I was able to buy the things I originally wanted, but I ended up buying way, way too much besides that (sweat).
I stayed for a long time and took lots of photos. Thank you very much♪
I will definitely visit again♪
Table Decoration♪
Hello!
This time before the October masking tape arrives is also a time to think about the next new work.
While brainstorming ideas, I wanted to go to Can Do, and although it's a bit far, I went by bicycle for exercise.
Then, I ended up wanting to do something else, and what I made was this frame.
I filled it with artificial turf and attached charms of a kid goat and a spoon & fork there.
I've always wanted to try it.
All from Can Do.
During the DETOX WATER shoot, I prepared a mini blackboard, and following that, I started writing the dinner menu on the table every day.
Like a restaurant menu board.
"Mom, what's for dinner today?"
I'm always asked, so
"I wrote it down,"
makes it easier.
Then a strange effect happened.
I used to only make nameless, simple things like "meat and vegetables stew,"
but now,
"Salmon and Clam Acqua Pazza"
or,
"Chicken Mince Shiso Leaf Wrapped Hamburger"
and so on.
By the way, last night's dinner was edamame mixed rice made from a gift from a friend♪ (My daughter wrote it!)
Somehow, I felt motivated to make menus that I would want to write on the menu board.
Although it’s uncertain how long this will last...
So, the menu board and bon appétit frame are now displayed side by side on the table♪
October Popular Ranking♪
Hello.
We are announcing the popular ranking of the Orata series (including adult Orata) for October!
1st place → Watercolor Masking Tape
2nd place ↗︎ Denim
2nd place → Train and Car
3rd place ↗︎ Cafe Time
Watercolor masking tape was the most popular again this month♪
We have received many orders for both adult and children, including nicknames and surnames.
And Denim, which ranked for the second time, always stays in the top ranks.
It has a strong texture but is simple and the letters stand out well.
Many people repeat their orders♪
And the new face Cafe Time ranked for the first time!
The chic brown color pairs very well with the alphabet.
And the most popular in the Okutta Narabeta series is definitely the DETOX WATER Narabeta♪
I took a picture together with the original artwork.
Then my daughter was copying and drawing next to me (laughs).
For some reason, it seems to have changed to a drink menu halfway through, including wine and beer.
In my daughter's mind, adults only drink alcohol.
I wonder whose influence that is (laughs).
I went to Kappabashi♪
Hello.
After submission, stationery store tours (planned as a series ^ ^), this month I went on a tool shop tour ♪
Recently, my hands have been a bit shaky, and I accidentally broke two of my favorite large plates in a row, so I went to Kappabashi to look for large plates.
It really is a place I love.
There are many tourists from overseas, and I thought it has become a tourist spot, but even so, it is a precious place where you can directly see and touch items used by professional chefs.
They really have everything.
Also, it's cheaper than buying at a regular store ♪
Of course, there are cooking utensils, tableware, seasonings, as well as signs, menus, receipts, packaging, electric signs, freezers perfect for tuna, kitchen equipment, uniforms, food samples, etc.
I took a lot of photos, so please take a look.
I bought a Noda enamel pot cheaply at Kappabashi a few years ago.
Seeing them lined up makes me want other colors too.
The tiny paella pan is also cute and makes me look twice.
Many women walking in Kappabashi were carrying their backpacks on their front side.
I realized on the way back that it was probably to avoid hitting items on the shelves.
Small plates 10 yen. Small cups 50 yen.
Mannequins wearing uniforms lined up. Impressive.
When it comes to specialties, it has to be food samples, right?
Sushi was standing on soy sauce (laughs).
In the end, what caught my attention more than the large plates was this.
Packages for manju and Japanese sweets, junk food, rice ball and dango packages, expiration date stickers, coffee tickets, beer tickets, service coupons, and so on.
Most are sold in units of 1000 or 100 sheets, so what I could buy was limited.
...Things I brought home.
I also bought large plates. Chopsticks and a water bottle too.
As for the rice ball stickers, I will probably end up sticking them on rice balls and using them normally.
Thank you to the shop staff who issued delivery notes and receipts each time!
September Popular Ranking♪
Hello!
It's already October, but here is the announcement of the September Orita series (including adult Orita) popularity ranking!
1st place↗︎ Watercolor Masking Tape
2nd place↘︎ Train and Car
3rd place↗︎ Flamingo
Watercolor masking tape was strong.
There are also 5 patterns, and if you alternate two types of words, you might be able to expand the ways to use it with various patterns and texts!
I made it while questioning myself "How about masking tape with masking tape patterns?", but it is a laborious work after making many rejected versions.
I'm happy it became popular♪
I want to debut a new popular work♪
Go for it, me!
Orders for October will start on the 8th!
Don't miss it~♪
A Long Time No See at the Field.
Hello.
I went to the field for the first time in a while.
It is a community garden that my husband mostly manages by himself.
My husband got injured a week ago and couldn’t work in the field, but he accompanied me on crutches, and I followed his instructions to weed, cover the green onions with soil, and plant broccoli seedlings.
The cabbage is full of insect bites. Also with pupae attached. Some kind of eggs attached.
Even a short time spent weeding with a clear mind is really absorbing.
The harvest was eggplants, bell peppers, and shishito peppers.
"Koromasuigo da"
Suddenly, I spoke in Sendai dialect.
"What’s that?"
My husband is a Sendai native who doesn’t know much Sendai dialect.
"It means ‘That’s why it got so bad.’"
"Huh?"
That was the conversation.
A circular explanation of Sendai dialect in Sendai dialect.
Also, I wrote a little proudly the other day that I got tenosynovitis (meaning I’ve become a professional by having an occupational disease!!), but it hurt so much that I went to a bone-setting clinic and found out I was mistaken.
The correct diagnosis is tennis elbow.
It seems I injured the muscle used when doing a tennis backhand.
Of course, not from tennis but from using the computer.
They say you can get tennis elbow from long hours on the computer!
Please be careful, everyone (sweat).
Oh, my husband’s injury is a muscle strain.
His leg is swollen to twice its size and it’s quite serious (sweat sweat).
JOZENJI STREETJAZZ FESTIVAL in SENDAI
Hello.
Yesterday, I went to Sendai alone for a day trip.
My errands finished in the morning, so I eagerly headed to Jozenji Street.
I took a quick look at the Sendai Jazz Festival, which is now in its 26th year.
It is said that over 700 bands and about 5,000 artists, both professional and amateur, gather from all over the country and overseas, and you can enjoy street jazz on 47 stages located on street corners throughout Sendai city, centered around that famous main street lined with zelkova trees.
Despite being such a wonderful event, I always had bad timing, and this was the first time I was able to see it in its 26th year.
Since the theme is a music cafeteria, many people seemed to be enjoying it casually while eating and drinking ♪
Just before boarding the Shinkansen from Sendai Station, I also saw a live performance inside the station in front of the stained glass.
Right next to it was a standing cafe, creating an otherworldly space where people were intoxicated by music and alcohol ♪
Sponge Cake♡
Hello.
It has been five days since the shop's renewal opening, but has it become easier to use, easier to see, and easier to understand?
I hope so♪
Thanks to you, both the number of accesses and orders are steadily increasing, so I am taking it positively♪
By the way, the photo above is a sponge cake made from a dishwashing sponge.
My first-grade daughter's independent research♪
Of course, I helped partially with sewing with thread and such, but she did a great job mostly on her own with the cake design, decoration, and menu creation.
Here is the handwritten menu.
She even came up with funny names like "Shot Cream" and "Lemon Swirl" by herself.
Actually, she also made money, a vending machine style money slot, and a cash register that reads barcodes, but those were not submitted.
A barcode on a cake.
Too innovative (laughs).
SAVON
Hello.
Due to various issues caused by strengthening the security of the shop and blog, the shop renewal is not yet complete.
Sorry for not being able to inform you sooner.
At the change of seasons and depending on my mood, I often change the pictures in the living room frames, and this time I chose a SAVON poster that I bought because I was attracted to the label's illustration.
If such cute small bottles and soaps were lined up, it would lift my spirits♪
Well, even a sake bottle lifts my spirits quite a bit♪
So, the picture of my daughter's Hungry Caterpillar that was displayed until yesterday will take a break for a while again.
It’s quite embarrassing with various reflections through the glass.
August Popular Ranking♪
Hello.
This month we paused order acceptance, but we will announce the sales ranking on minne!
1st↗︎ Sealed and Sometimes Open
2nd↘︎ Thank you
3rd↗︎ Come and Play
The peanut washi tape was more popular than expected.
Since we retook the peanut photos many times and it was a challenging piece, we are very happy to deliver it to many people!
We still have stock, so if you are interested, please order from minne♪
After finishing writing this, I realized August is not over at all!
We will report here again when the ranking changes (sweat).

Long Live Creatures!
Hello.
I went to a fishing pond and a ranch with the children.
The photo above shows the kid goats siblings at Zao Heartland (ranch).
There was a sign saying they were born on July 26, and since there was no one inside the fence, these released kids are probably those kid goats.
I love this feeling of freedom.
The mother goat, wanting to be petted, came close to me panting, and I arrogantly thought, "Oh, does she know I'm a good person?" but later I realized she was just hot and wanted shade.
Goat eyes show no sign of fighting, and watching them makes me feel at ease.
Their ears are big and cute.
Someday, I want to make masking tape with goats. Yes.
At the fishing pond, we caught six char, one yamame trout, two rainbow trout, and one silver salmon, and we grilled and ate them all.
"Just catching fish is disrespectful to them. If you catch them, be grateful and eat them."
When I said that, at first they tried hard to catch fish because they wanted to fish, but after tasting them, they were so delicious that their motivation changed to wanting to catch fish because they wanted to eat them.
I was very happy that they came to understand the taste of river fish.
Stray cats and herons kept coming nonstop, aiming for the juvenile fish in the fish farm.
The stray cats seemed experienced, and at least three of them were stealing fish.
I wonder if the shop staff tacitly allow it?
I love this feeling of freedom.
Interacting with creatures in a way different from zoos and aquariums was very satisfying for me too♪
BLUE BATON
Hello.
I thought the hashtag #BlueBaton was trending on Instagram, and suddenly it was passed to me.
It's about collecting blue things or taking pictures of blue places and posting them, and the baton is passed from someone to someone else.
I will post it on Instagram as well, but I will introduce a little background on my blog♪
The place is Lasanta at Sakunami Yu no Eki.
I casually took some blue-themed masking tape from orata, planning to take a picture with something blue somewhere, and the tiles at the bottom of the footbath were a beautiful blue.
And this is the photo I took with the Spanish mineral water I bought on the way.
It was a very pleasant footbath~♪
The water spurting out is from Nikka Whisky's storage barrels.
It must smell nice!
We had lunch at Albero Cafe nearby.
A special plate where you can choose your favorite lasagna.
It comes with salad, grilled vegetables, homemade bread, aperitif vinegar, drink, and sweets for 1000 yen and up. If you choose the M size, you can eat two kinds of lasagna!
Girls are satisfied when there are lots of vegetables~.
And also when there are even a little sweets♪
Albero Cafe is said to be a sister store of a pizza place in Aiko, which I often visited.
Both are wonderful shops with a sense of vintage furniture interior design.
Mother's Taste.
Hello.
A hectic week has passed since I came to Sendai.
It was my first time bringing work home and returning to my hometown, asking my mother to babysit, and also asking my husband to rely on my mother, yet it was still a busy week.
But it was a week that made me realize it was worth the effort.
The photo above is of sea squirts my mother made for me.
They were truly delicious, so delicious.
The older I get, the more I love sea squirts and can't get enough of them.
I bought them with shells, soaked them overnight in sweet vinegar plus vinegar, and just sprinkled chopped shiso leaves on top.
It really is the taste of Sendai.
Or rather, the taste of my mother's hometown Tagajo, or perhaps my grandmother's hometown Shichigahama.
It's a grateful taste that makes me feel like I've come home♪
Do you know about melted crayon art?
Hello from Sendai.
The shipping work for July has finally settled down, so I took the kids who were restless and noisy to a picture book store I've been visiting since I was a child.
It's a truly child-friendly store packed with picture books and wooden toys from overseas, all crammed into a house said to have been built in the early Meiji period.
I heard you can experience "melted crayon art" here, and thought it might be good for a summer project, so I invited the kids.
It was a project to create an original fabric bag using the melted crayon technique with Stockmar beeswax crayons.
We laid tracing paper on the hot plate,
and melted various colors swirling them around, mixing and spreading them.
After the paper dried, we cut it into our favorite shapes,
placed it on fabric, and transferred it with an iron. A charming chameleon was completed.
The paper on the right is after transfer. The frog was made by me.
Somehow, I enjoyed making it with a clear mind♪
Only in Sendai, we found Sendai Shiro!
And Soebumi stationery. Sendai version! Date Masamune, Kokeshi dolls, beef tongue.
"Ah, that was fun. Let's come again!"
said the two kids.
They seemed to really like the warm picture books, simple toys, the nostalgic atmosphere like grandma's house, and the friendly store staff who have cared for us like family for a long time.
What should I put in my frog bag?♪
First Challenge to Make Original Tags♪
Hello!
Inspired by my Instagram followers who always create lots of wonderful tags, I wanted to give it a try myself.
First, I tried stamping a swallow eraser stamp I made a long time ago onto waxed paper,
Could this be one of those that disappears when touched???
No matter how I look at it, it just seems like the ink is repelling...
Hmm.
I'll try drying it as is, even if it might not work.
And after drying,
It became safe to touch! Mysterious.
Using this, I stamped on another paper, tried orata masking tape, and completed the original tag above.
It's a clumsy tag full of handmade charm, but I'll improve my skills from now on. I'll do my best.
I went to Hachimakura in Koenji♪
Hello!
I'm secretly planning to make a series of stationery store visits after submitting my work.
For paper lovers, this is an irresistible shop, Hachimakura in Koenji.
Photography inside the store was not allowed, so here are just a few shots of the exterior.
There were a few antique items outside, but inside the store it was all about paper.
Both new and old, Japanese and overseas items, the eclectic mix felt very cozy, and I was simply amazed at how much they had gathered.
The misregistration of old printed materials, the rough texture of the paper, glassine market bags, Thai Aj paper, bundles of tattered old books, strangely cute matchboxes, and so on — I was so excited I couldn't stop.
Especially the packaging and wrapping paper for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and sweets from Japan's high economic growth period — I wonder why they are so cute.
I'm not confident I can use them well, but I ended up impulsively buying things that caught my eye.
Dead stock wrapping paper, graph tracing paper, letter pads, Brazilian memos, overseas tickets.
I plan to show my face either during a shoot or somewhere else♪

I love it because it feels like I'm drinking the refreshing scent of the forest♪
My Work and 7 Tools ①
Hello.
I was wondering what I should write on my blog... and when I talked to a very close friend,
"Why don't you try writing about how you make things?"
they said.
I'm not very confident that people will be interested, but I'll try writing it in several parts.
The items in the photo are my business tools.
MacBook, a notebook where I jot down ideas, a pen, a camera, guidebooks for Illustrator and Photoshop, the masking tapes I've made so far (including rejected ones), and coffee.
I can't do without any of these.
This black notebook is a Muji notebook, but I have scrapped a large amount of labels with designs I like, catalog cutouts, and product photos.
By the way, I haven't stuck any masking tape on it.
In my case, it seems I am influenced more by things other than masking tape.
Between scrapbooking, I write down countless designs and phrases that come to mind, including doodles that make me wonder "what is this?" and messy sketches drawn while hesitating, all as they are.
Some of the messy sketches surprisingly became products.
I have stuck a name masking tape on the black cover of this notebook (the only mosaic tile I made for myself), the black shows through and the name doesn't stand out at all, but if you look closely you can tell it's mine, and I really like that feeling.
I am constantly thinking about ideas.
To be honest, even while sleeping.
Sometimes I come up with ideas in my dreams.
At those times, I force myself to wake up and write them down in my notebook.
I'm surprised myself, but I've acquired that skill.
When ideas come together, I create data, and sometimes it only takes about two weeks to complete until I can actually hold the product.
But there are also many rejected data that I still can't be satisfied with no matter how many times I redo them.
Some suddenly shine and get completed while left to rest.
There is the pain of giving birth, but it's a kind of indescribable feeling like fun, pleasant, interesting, and so on.
I'm still in the middle of wondering if it was really good to make masking tape making my job.
...To be continued another day.
Making Pochi Bags♪
Hello.
I've introduced this a little before (Daiso origami) ↓,
I love making pochi bags.
When I find wrapping paper I like, I tend to make a lot of them.
The wax paper and origami called Old Paper I found at Daiso were quite nice, so I made more pochi bags.
Perfect for a change of pace during work on a rainy day!
The translucency of the wax paper is nice, so it might be good for layering bags too♪
I like the template and have been using it for a long time, but I also want one that can make bigger bags.
But then it’s no longer really a "pochi"...
Father's Day.
Hello.
Yesterday was Father's Day.
The father in our family, that is, my husband, is a hard worker.
The photo shows the harvest from the community garden where my husband grows vegetables.
These are thinned corn, so-called young corn.
There were also some young corns that were not really young, but after boiling and grilling them on a hot plate with meat, they were very delicious♪
The children gave him letters, portraits, and handmade fans as presents.
He is the type to keep these kinds of things carefully.
My husband must be bearing a lot of the burden with the children and housework because of the work I started, but he supports me without a single complaint.
Wait, is he my father?
He usually drinks only new genres, so once in a while.
Dad, thank you always. Just from the heart.
Labeling calligraphy tools with masking tape.
Hello.
My older brother in third grade.
Finally, calligraphy classes are starting at school.
As expected, we put names on the tools, and I found that name masking tape is very convenient in various ways.
Even for labeling black bottles like ink, masking tape made it easy to see.
For thin brushes, masking tape is easier than writing with a pen.
For things like droppers and inkstones that will probably get dirty with ink and become unreadable, masking tape that can be replaced immediately when dirty is convenient♪
And the highlight is this.
The masking tape fit perfectly on the bamboo edge of the brush roll.
I secretly praised myself, thinking "This is useful."
Please give it a try!
June Popular Ranking♪
Hello.
It's very hot today despite the rainy season.
I'm still holding out without turning on the air conditioner, but I can't resist beer (actually, I can't resist it even if it's not hot).
I went to take pictures of popular masking tapes next to cool hydrangeas.
Here is this month's Ora-ta series (including adult Ora-ta) popularity ranking.
1st↗︎ Forest
2nd New Swallow
2nd↘︎ Rose
2nd↗︎ Strawberry
2nd New Watercolor Masking Tape
Forest was overwhelmingly popular.
I personally analyze that it was a design easy to use regardless of gender.
Here is the ranking of the Oku-ta series.
1st New Sendai Dialect Narabe-ta II
2nd New Take Care
3rd→ Have a Break with This
There were many inquiries about "Take Care," but the most orders were for Sendai Dialect Narabe-ta II!
Since I spent a lot of time creating it, it seems the illustrations also attracted attention.
I was very happy to have many purchases from people in Miyagi Prefecture and those from Miyagi Prefecture♪
Thank you very much for many people checking the blog, shop, and Minne again this month.
I will continue to do my best to deliver exciting masking tapes that make everyone say "I'm interested~"!
Labeling pocket tissues with masking tape.
Hello.
Thank you for the many visits every day.
As for me, I am absorbed in planning new products.
When I receive comments or reviews from those who bought the masking tape, the image of the new product becomes more concrete and it really encourages me.
This blog does not accept comments, but if you have any opinions or impressions after purchase, please write a review from the ☆ on the purchased item on the shop's product page, or from the purchase history if on minne, or directly write from the shop's contact page. It would be very appreciated!
By the way, the photo at the beginning.
Excuse me with Gaim and Tokkyuger. (Old tissues still in use)
Children's pocket tissues have a space to write a name on the back, but it’s mostly faded.
Kids hardly use tissues, but since they carry them every day, the name quickly rubs off and disappears if written with a permanent marker.
Then they lose them somewhere, right?
Even if not, they disappear after washing while still in the pocket (this is usually our case).
At times like this, name masking tape comes in handy.
Just stick it on and it’s easy.
The letters won’t easily fade.
Even if dropped, it will surely be found. Because this is Japan.
Speaking of which, I bought mt masking tape for the first time in a very long time.
I didn’t have time to slowly go buy masking tape, so I happened to stop by a drugstore.
So cute♪
I’ll look at it for a while and be healed.
Modern School Lunches
Hello.
Today, I went to the school as a volunteer.
It's a simple volunteer job like greeting visitors and patrolling the school, but by participating in this, you can eat the school lunch.
Moreover, since I can eat together with the children in their class, I get to understand the class atmosphere well, and I have been doing this for three years now.
Or rather, above all, the school lunch is delicious!
I imagine it must be quite strange for the children to see an unknown mother mixed in their class, but I don't care about that!
"Okay! Who wants seconds of the fish?"
I almost raised my hand without thinking, but I held back desperately, and after the children finished their second helping rock-paper-scissors,
"Um, would you like seconds too, mom?"
said the teacher. Oh, did she notice my gluttony?
"Yes, yes, I do! Do you have shishamo?"
"Sorry, we don't have shishamo today."
Right, I was too childish and embarrassed.
This shishamo is tempura fried with seaweed batter.
Along with a salad of daikon and cucumber dressed with yukari seasoning.
Plus bamboo shoot rice.
It was my best menu among all I have eaten so far.
I should have taken a photo, but I forgot, so I tried drawing it,
"I want to draw too!"
we said and drew side by side.
Drawn by my daughter.
Masking Tape as a Wedding Gift♪
Hello.
Following yesterday, here is an introduction to a new service.
If you are looking for a slightly unusual wedding gift or favor, how about masking tape printed with each guest's name?
Many people probably want to avoid things that are too expensive, large, or heavy.
Still, you want to give something a little special, something with attention to detail, something that shines with personality!
Have you ever received something like this?
Or did you not even know such a thing existed?
Do you want to surprise your guests with "Is this just for me!?"
If you are going to give a gift anyway, you want it to be something that won’t just sleep in the back of a closet but something they will actually use,
or if you were looking for something to add just a little extra to the main gift and are having trouble deciding, are there any brides and grooms out there?
Only for those who order 24 or more from the Orata series,
we will make the WEDDING GIFT label shown above for free.
You can include the wedding date, the bride and groom's names, and a short message (up to 15 characters) in the space that says "Masking tape pledging love."
Of course, you can specify individual names and designs for each masking tape roll.
Here’s a little secret announcement: from orders on May 4th, alphabets will also be available.
Details will be written later.
For adults, why not try making name masking tape with alphabets?
Made Graduation Celebration Labels!
Good evening.
Today, we have an announcement about a new service.
When celebrating graduation from kindergarten or nursery school, you might want to give commemorative gifts.
How about name masking tape from the Orata series as one of those commemorative gifts?
Only for customers ordering 24 or more,
we will apply the above label for free and deliver it!
If you specify the name of the school, class name, and commemorative date, we will create an original label for you.
Name masking tape that will be useful right at the start of school, matching with friends from kindergarten or nursery school, will surely make the children happy!
Moms will be very relieved too!
Of course, you can specify names and designs individually.
Although it is still early for graduation season, for moms who have become in charge of graduation preparations, we would be happy if you consider this as one of the options for commemorative gifts♪
Labeling with Masking Tape. Even on These!
Hello.
By now, the nightly task of labeling names might be coming to an end.
There was also clay and glue in the toolbox!
Don't forget the lid as well.
Of course, we stick it on the clay spatula, but the excellent feature of masking tape is that it can fit perfectly on this narrow part.
So far, I have labeled math blocks, pencil cases, pencils, colored pencils, crayons, paints, keyboard harmonicas, and recorders with name masking tape.
Let me introduce the photos here again as a gallery!
The last photo is of diapers.
I was told by a friend that they put name masking tape on the diapers when sending their child to daycare.
I see~!
Depending on the length of the name, one roll can be used about 250 to 300 times (up to 350 times for short names), so please feel free to use it on disposable items as well!
Next order acceptance will start from May 4th!
Challenge to Shabby Finish!
Hello.
Today, I have individual meetings with my two children in the evening, so before then, I tried my best to transform the wooden box I bought at the recent Lohas Festa into a shabby chic wooden box that could somehow be used for shooting.
First, shopping.
Wooden box (500 yen), paint (2 ivory, 1 black), brush, sandpaper. Except for the wooden box, everything is from Daiso.
First, paint with black. It can be quite rough.
After it dries well, paint with ivory.
I painted ivory twice.
Next, sand it. I used three types: coarse, medium, and fine.
The trick is to sand perpendicular to the wood grain.
Then it looks like this, with the black underneath faintly showing.
After that, adjust to your liking ♪
So, the wooden box in the first photo is completed.
It was surprisingly easy. Using oil stain might be better, but this feels sufficient for me.
It turned out as a cute wooden box that looks like it could line up with milk bottles ♪
Or rather, I have to hurry to the individual meetings!
This Month's Popular Ranking♪
Hello.
Today the sky was refreshingly clear, so I went for a walk to also take photos of the popular masking tapes for April.
1st↗︎ White Flowers
2nd↘︎ Strawberry
3rd→ Ribbon
4th↗︎ Plum Blossoms
5th New Arrival Swallow
Strawberry was strong again this time, but White Flowers took the top spot by a 4-point difference!
The new arrival Swallow is also doing well.
And the most popular item on minne was "Sendai Dialect Narabeta".
I didn’t think there would be much demand for it; it’s a piece I made just because of my own attachment.
Originally, it was a heavily designed tape lined with lots of Sendai dialect, but it became a problematic piece with repeated errors at the printing company due to overcomplication…
So I remade it very simply, and that is the current Sendai dialect masking tape.
The double cherry blossoms were in full bloom at the park.
After the order reception period ends, there is a little time before delivery, so I read for pleasure for the first time in a while.
I read essays by Anzu-san and found them very insightful.
Wrapping with Masking Tape on Handmade Envelope
Hello.
There is only one more favorite left to reach 100 on minne.
Oh no, sorry if it seems like I'm urging you (sweat).
Even though it hasn't been long since opening, everyone has been so kind and I truly appreciate it!
By the way, I found and bought this craft paper that looks like newspaper material?
There are pen patterns, Western tableware patterns, and cooking utensil patterns, each with different designs printed on the back side as well.
Isn't it lovely♪
So I made an envelope and wrapped a birthday present for a friend.
Accented with "Congratulations" masking tape.
On the tag, I stuck an old Australian postage stamp I found at the Lohas Festa.
After about two hours of trying this and that, this is what I made.
I'm currently studying wrapping. Someone please teach me~.
The Rice Bowl I Found at Lohas Festa.
Hello.
Orders for this month closed on the 15th.
Thank you very much for the attention and many orders again this month.
We have already started at the printing company from today.
I am really looking forward to the finished product!
Please wait a little longer until delivery.
The rice bowl in the photo was bought at the recent Lohas Festa Tokyo.
The seller is Tsuchimoto Pottery Co., Ltd.
I felt the simple and calm appearance was wonderful, so we renewed our couple's rice bowls for the first time since our marriage.
The couple's rice bowls we used when newlyweds cracked in no time, and since then we have been enduring with temporary bowls for many years...
Since we no longer eat mountain-sized portions, we chose slightly smaller ones.
This morning.
"It's still small,"
said my husband who ran a full marathon yesterday and is completely out of energy.
"Right,"
I replied, full of energy.
Look at my rice bowl.
It is bigger than masking tape but smaller than the Shichimi spice from Zenkoji Temple...
In Sendai dialect,
"Dogoni motanne" (Not enough at all)
"Tanto kuwashite kesain" (Please let me eat a lot)
That's right.
Lohas Festa Tokyo
Hello.
Day and night, news about the Kumamoto earthquake continues.
My friend's family home is in Kumamoto, and I am very worried, but I think it might be better to refrain from contacting them for now, so I plan to get in touch again once things have settled down a bit.
The reason is that during the 3.11 earthquake five years ago, my relatives and I in Tokyo kept calling Sendai because we were worried.
We could hardly get through.
"Stop calling just to reassure yourself. Our lines are overloaded, and because of that, emergency communications might not get through, and people could lose their lives,"
my sister in Sendai told me sharply.
I truly realized that and deeply reflected on it.
I hope the damage does not spread any further.
I hope the sorrow of the disaster area heals as soon as possible.
Changing the subject, I went to Lohas Festa Tokyo.
It is my favorite event that I look forward to the most all year.
There are quite a few things you can only buy at Lohas, such as antiques, fake greenery, B-grade Seto ware, and assortments of my favorite stationery items.
Every year I regret buying too much, but the things I buy are very useful, so I forget my regrets.
And these are the things I bought this year.
Since many of these were bought for shooting props, they are scheduled to appear in new shoots.
Look forward to it♪
Also for the keyboard harmonica! Naming with masking tape
Hello.
Orders for this month are accepted until today.
We will close at midnight, so if you forgot, please place your order as soon as possible.
On minne, as soon as we were featured in the pickup section, the number of favorites and followers increased significantly.
Thank you to everyone who clicked!
Because the stock was low, it might have only been on the pickup screen for about an hour.
From now on, we will increase the stock and do our best to deliver to those who kindly favorited and followed us.
By the way, the new school term.
Naming is still ongoing.
The name masking tape is really active every day♪
Today is about the keyboard harmonica.
You have to properly put a name on the mouthpiece too, otherwise it would be a big problem if it got mixed up with someone else's (laughs).
My daughter, who likes light blue, obviously intended to use light blue, but
"Girls are mostly pink,"
her older brother told her, so she reluctantly chose pink.
I thought it would be fine to use her brother's hand-me-down, but apparently the third grader still uses it...
Hand-me-downs of school supplies between siblings close in age are quite rare.
Strawberry Flowers.
Hello.
Just before graduating from kindergarten, I was given a small division of strawberry plants that had overgrown in the garden, and now those strawberries are starting to bloom vigorously on the balcony.
Even though I was told "Please give them fertilizer!", the flowers are blooming beautifully without any fertilizer, and I feel an indescribable affection for their lovely and delicate appearance.
Unintentionally,
"You guys are the most popular!"
I whispered while taking a picture together with strawberry masking tape.
I quietly felt self-satisfied thinking how well they match.
Then, beside the balcony.
There was another one!
Among the laundry.
My daughter's pajamas have a strong strawberry and strawberry flower pattern.
A coincidental collaboration~♪
Labeling Arithmetic Blocks with Masking Tape.
Hello.
Many of you are probably at the peak of labeling right now.
For those who wish they had known a little earlier, we apologize.
We haven't been able to promote this well, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Even after this peak, labeling tasks don't completely disappear. Every time you get new pencils or erasers, every time you get new notebooks, every time you bring materials like plastic bottles used in crafts, styrofoam trays, or milk cartons, you need to label them one by one.
Why not prepare one and keep it stocked so you can use it anytime?
By the way, when labeling small items like arithmetic blocks with name masking tape, it seems better to cut the tape a little longer and wrap it around so the edges don’t flap, as it sticks better and is less likely to peel off.
Alternatively, cutting the name into small pieces and sticking them also seems fine.
Since there is no glue residue, you can peel and stick it multiple times, but the adhesive will gradually weaken, so please try to be creative with it♪
Labeling with masking tape, and the result?!
Hello.
My daughter, a new first grader, says "It's super fun" so far, and every morning she gets ready unbelievably quickly and happily goes to school.
I'm relieved that her older brother doesn't leave her behind and goes with her for now.
From the day of the entrance ceremony, we received a full set including textbooks, notebooks, communication notebooks, and toolboxes, and immediately started labeling names.
"Alright, let's do this!" I was enthusiastic, as a mother.
I had properly prepared name masking tape, so I thought this would be fun♪
However, however.
I said one word to my daughter.
"I want to do it!"
She said, and
"Eh, I want to do it too, Mom!"
Although I said that, in the end, except for labeling the rag and gym clothes, my daughter took over the job.
(Moms who want to enjoy labeling with name masking tape, do it after the kids have fallen asleep!)
It's amazing that even children can do it neatly, but as a mother, I felt a little unsatisfied (laughs).
The swelling of the heart that wants to make someone happy... a chain reaction.
Good evening.
Sorry for the strange title that resulted from not knowing how to express it.
By the way, the photo is a prototype that was distributed in large quantities in February (laughs).
The orata.net Orata series is masking tape on which you can print your favorite characters.
It has the feature that you can put different characters on each roll.
Because of that, those who order think about whether it is for their own child, for themselves, or who else to give it to.
"Ah, that person has always taken care of me!"
or
"I heard that person is about to have a grandchild!"
or
"They moved far away, I wonder if they are doing well."
or
"By the way, so-and-so should be starting school this year!"
and so on, they remember important people.
Sometimes there is no particular reason to give, but they just want to give something anyway.
Unexpected gifts really make you happy because they convey that the other person usually cares about you.
And as a result of actually giving orata masking tape, some people ordered again because they wanted to give it to another person.
The recipients said they were so happy they cried, or that they also wanted to give a present to someone!
Hearing that, I realized this is what I wanted to do.
As long as I live, I want to make someone happy.
I want to be helpful.
I want to help people who want to make someone happy.
I felt that the swelling of such a heart and the chain reaction it causes is very joyful.
I like design, I like making things, I like masking tape, but I like even more that someone is happy because of what I like.
If the people I care about can make the people they care about smile, and if I can be involved even a little in that, there is nothing happier.
Gratitude.
A person who runs.
Hello.
Today was the Nerima Kobushi Half Marathon 2016.
The runner is my husband.
He was a sprinter in the track and field club in middle and high school.
But he started running long distances about four or five years ago.
Now he enters some kind of race every month.
The Kobushi Half Marathon is a new race, this being only its second year, but it seems popular enough to be selected as one of the top 100 running events nationwide.
There are about 5,000 runners.
Yuki Kawauchi and Mari Tanigawa also ran.
There are quite a few cherry blossom trees along the course, so I imagine it must be very pleasant.
This year he participated with a dad friend.
After finishing the run, the two of them had bright, cheerful expressions♪
The dad friend was hugged by the kids saying "Dad, you’re amazing! Good job!" and they even prepared handmade cheering fans and pop-up card gifts, creating a heartwarming interaction.
Meanwhile, our family only brought a change bag after the finish line with our daughter who didn’t even cheer.
Perhaps feeling a bit guilty, our daughter hurriedly made a medal after returning home.
It’s a mysterious medal that says "Dad, here’s your medal" (laughs).
We also have a lot of finisher towels, so I wish they would make a slightly different commemorative item.
Name Masking Tape Keychain Edition
Hello.
Today, I will continue to introduce examples of how to use name masking tape!
Once again, I found this at the 100 yen shop. A customizable keychain.
It is the type where you can insert a photo.
I combined mt masking tape, Daiso masking tape, and name masking tape made from the Orata series, and printed small photos of my children when they were 5 and 3 years old and put them in.
"Amazing!"
My daughter said this and liked it. I'm glad!
I tried attaching it to the school backpack♪
Name Masking Tape - Name Clip Edition
Hello.
If you make name masking tape with the Orata series, how about using it like this?
When I come up with ideas like this, I plan to introduce them.
Of course, I love masking tape and started working on designing masking tape, but I know very little about how to use it.
Still, since few people use printed name masking tape, I decided to write this in case it might be a hint for something!
This is a name tag metal clip I found at a 100 yen shop.
I thought if I put name masking tape on this, maybe it could be used for organizing schedules or documents received from school or kindergarten, so I tried sticking it on.
How is it? It looks pretty good, doesnt it? ♪
In Commemoration of March 11.
Hello.
The photo is one I encountered at last year's Tanabata Festival.
"This Tanabata decoration was handmade one by one by children from 188 elementary and junior high schools, special support schools, and secondary education schools in Sendai City, with the hope that each person will not forget the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 2011, and will challenge themselves to create a green and rich hometown for our hometown (Sendai) that is progressing in reconstruction, looking toward the future."
That was written.
It moved me deeply.
I am from Sendai.
To be precise, my parents are from Sendai, and I grew up moving around Tohoku.
My grandmother, who was raised by the sea, taught me the Sendai dialect.
After the earthquake, that grandmother lived in evacuation for several months and then returned to a house that had been beautifully renovated with no trace of the flood damage,
"After all, our home is nice. It feels good."
(It means "After all, my own home is nice. It feels good.")
She said this with a smile and quietly passed away in that house three years ago.
Even as the vivid memories of the earthquake fade, the memories connecting me and the people of Sendai only become clearer.
"Dont slack off,"
my grandmother would probably say to me.
It means "Dont be lazy."
What I must do, what I can do for Sendai, I have to keep doing my best from now on.
Definitely for gifts.
Hello.
When this blog had just started, I distributed prototypes here and there and asked for surveys.
Among them, many voices said they wanted it for themselves and their own children, but also wanted to give it to their friends' or relatives' children.
For entrance ceremonies, school admissions, or birth celebrations, they wanted to give something memorable, but not something too elaborate, affordable in price, yet a thoughtful item that would be remembered.
I also think the Orata series is perfect for such gifts.
It’s not something that would embarrass the recipient, but something designed while imagining the other person, carefully entering the name when ordering, waiting for a month to receive it.
I feel the giver’s thoughtfulness and consideration are packed into the small tape.
As the creator, I also put my feelings into making it as a gift for those who bought it.
Finally, I hope this masking tape will be something that excites the person who picks it up every time they use it.
About the characters that can be entered in Orata.
Hello.
Regarding the characters in the Orata series, which is limited to hiragana, there was an unexpected response.
"When you reach the upper grades of elementary school, hiragana actually looks stylish,"
they say. This is a girl's opinion. I see.
The reason I limited it to hiragana is partly due to the font used, but I also wanted to make the characters part of the design, creating an overall pattern like a watermark.
I feel that hiragana has a simpler shape than kanji and looks like a pattern from a distance.
So I wanted to arrange them continuously to create a surprise where you realize it’s a name when you look closely!
On the other hand,
"Is there a bigger one with the name in a single line?"
is also a common question,
and I received valuable feedback like,
"Since the school teachers are older, they might say they can’t see it."
We are currently considering offering a larger text type as an option.
Although limited to hiragana, it is also possible to include punctuation marks and spaces.
For names, you can insert a space between the surname and given name, but when cutting the tape, to avoid confusion between the name boundary and the surname boundary, the separation for each name will be made slightly larger.
Please understand that this will slightly reduce the number of tapes you can use as name masking tape.
(However, this does not apply to tapes where pictures are inserted between characters.)
If you don’t mind whether or not to include a space between the surname and given name, we recommend no space.
In any case, Orata will try anything it can to help you create tape that is more like yourself!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us anytime.
(Added June 19 ↓)
The Orata series now also supports printing alphabets.
Alphabets are treated as half-width characters and up to 30 characters are allowed.
It is also possible to combine hiragana and alphabets.
Not only names but also messages are okay, so why not create your own original masking tape with your favorite words?
Name stickers for school and kindergarten with masking tape.
Hello.
We are orata.net, creating original masking tape.
Name stickers are very useful when entering kindergarten or school.
I have also ordered and had them made before.
They come in various sizes—large, medium, and small—so they can be stuck on both small and large items, in sets of about 200 pieces, and are water-resistant, which was very helpful.
But I had a few complaints.
The price was high, over 2000 yen.
Pencils, colored pencils, crayons, paint, little items like marbles in the toolbox—smaller items are used more often and the stickers ran out quickly.
Then only the large-letter stickers that are rarely used remain.
Also, the designs were ordinary and not very appealing.
They just felt like "as long as the name is visible, it's fine."
I wanted to make the naming process, which is already a burden for mothers, more fun and exciting.
Starting kindergarten or school is a very happy time when you proudly witness your child's growth, feel a little sadness as your child gradually becomes more independent, and as a mother, you experience many emotions deeply.
I thought it would be a waste to spend time feeling annoyed because naming is troublesome or not neatly finished, staying up late at night.
The "Orata" series made by orata.net is masking tape that can be printed with your preferred name.
(By the way, if it’s in hiragana, it doesn’t have to be a name!)
Currently, you can choose from 20 designs.
We plan to increase the number of designs continuously.
The price is 600 to 700 yen per roll.
The unit price decreases when you order more rolls.
Also, even if you order many rolls, you don’t have to order all the same design.
For example, if you order a set of six rolls, you can have different names and different designs for your older sister, younger brother, younger sister, a relative’s child, a friend’s child, and even one for yourself.
Each roll is 9 meters long, and depending on the number of characters and the design, it is made so that it can be used about 200 to 300 times as a substitute for name stickers.
The delivery time takes about one month, but since it is handmade, we would appreciate your understanding.
The first release date is scheduled for March 4.
If you are interested, please check out our shop!
What "orata" means.
Hello.
"What does 'orata' mean?"
Many people have asked me this.
I am very happy that so many people are interested.
"Orata" is made up of "ora" + "ta."
"Ora" means "myself," "I," or "me" in the Sendai dialect.
"Oradazu" means "we,"
"Orai" means "my home,"
"Oraho" is used to mean "this side" or similar.
By the way, "andai" means "your home," and "andaho" means "your side."
"Ta" comes from "tape."
In other words, the name was given with the meaning of "my tape," "my own tape," or "our tape."
When you write or stick a name on something, it feels a little different before and after you do it.
The moment you name it, you suddenly feel attached to it,
You imagine using it in various ways,
Someone finds it and hands it back saying, "Is this yours?",
You feel relieved thinking, "I'm glad it was found!"
Seeing the names carefully stuck by family members, you might hold back tears that almost flow in the classroom.
I want to create tape that nurtures such special feelings.
Each one is handmade, so it takes time.
But I believe you will like it and use it, and as you use it, your feelings will blend with it, making it truly one of a kind in the world.
Because there were many questions.
Hello.
We apologize for the wait as we are preparing the online shop.
Please wait a little longer.
Since there were many questions, we will inform you in advance.
"Can I buy just one bottle?"
It is difficult to sell just one bottle because the unit price becomes high.
(Added in December 2016! Now you can purchase each item individually!)
We are currently adjusting the minimum quantity for sales.
"Can I buy each with different names and different designs?"
Yes! You can!
This photo shows the items placed in the shipping box, for example, if you order 12 bottles, you can specify 12 different names and 12 different designs individually.
This is how we plan to start.
Please look forward to it!
This is my family.
Hello.
This picture is of my family. My daughter drew it last summer.
Our family consists of my husband, my second-grade son, my daughter who is in her final year of kindergarten, and me. The one with glasses is my husband, the small one with long hair is my daughter, the one in the middle with a crooked mouth is me, and the one on the right in the blue shirt is my son.
My daughter believes that men wear blue clothes. She also believes that women have long hair.
Since I have short hair, I am often told "You look like a man." But I don't mind at all (laughs).
The other day was my birthday, and they bought me roses.
Red, pink, and white. If you look closely, the white ones have a greenish tint.
"Mom likes green, right? So these," said the children.
"This is what you like,"
said my mother in Sendai who sent me red wine.
"I thought you would like this,"
said my husband who gave me champagne.
Everyone really understands what I like.
Thank you♪
About orata.net
Nice to meet you. This is orata.net.
We create original masking tapes.
Orata style is masking tape that lets you enjoy letters.
I am a mother of a boy in elementary school and a girl in kindergarten.
I want to shape one by one the things I feel would be nice to have in daily life!
And I hope to be a small help to moms who struggle with child-rearing every day.
With that feeling, I decided to start orata.net.
In this blog, I will introduce orata products as well as write about my own child-rearing experiences, things I like, favorite items, and the thoughts put into orata.
Thank you very much.
