A person who runs.

Hello.

Today was the Nerima Kobushi Half Marathon 2016.

The runner is my husband.

He was a sprinter in the track and field club in middle and high school.

But he started running long distances about four or five years ago.

Now he enters some kind of race every month.

The Kobushi Half Marathon is a new race, this being only its second year, but it seems popular enough to be selected as one of the top 100 running events nationwide.

There are about 5,000 runners.

Yuki Kawauchi and Mari Tanigawa also ran.

There are quite a few cherry blossom trees along the course, so I imagine it must be very pleasant.

This year he participated with a dad friend.

After finishing the run, the two of them had bright, cheerful expressions♪

The dad friend was hugged by the kids saying "Dad, you’re amazing! Good job!" and they even prepared handmade cheering fans and pop-up card gifts, creating a heartwarming interaction.

Meanwhile, our family only brought a change bag after the finish line with our daughter who didn’t even cheer.

Perhaps feeling a bit guilty, our daughter hurriedly made a medal after returning home.

Finishers

It’s a mysterious medal that says "Dad, here’s your medal" (laughs).

We also have a lot of finisher towels, so I wish they would make a slightly different commemorative item.
