Challenge to Shabby Finish!

Hello.
Today, I have individual meetings with my two children in the evening, so before then, I tried my best to transform the wooden box I bought at the recent Lohas Festa into a shabby chic wooden box that could somehow be used for shooting.
First, shopping.
Wooden box (500 yen), paint (2 ivory, 1 black), brush, sandpaper. Except for the wooden box, everything is from Daiso.
First, paint with black. It can be quite rough.
After it dries well, paint with ivory.
I painted ivory twice.
Next, sand it. I used three types: coarse, medium, and fine.
The trick is to sand perpendicular to the wood grain.
Then it looks like this, with the black underneath faintly showing.
After that, adjust to your liking ♪
So, the wooden box in the first photo is completed.
It was surprisingly easy. Using oil stain might be better, but this feels sufficient for me.
It turned out as a cute wooden box that looks like it could line up with milk bottles ♪
Or rather, I have to hurry to the individual meetings!
