This is the 30th work in the Narabe-ta series, called nami.

Nami means wave (laughs).

I cut old paper into wave shapes and lined them up, then layered ukiyo-e style waves on top.

I created this imagining foreign books that come across the sea and old books from decades ago reaching our hands in the present time beyond space and time.

It has an atmosphere that seems to blend well with both Japanese and Western styles.
